But you need to be more careful in hiding your scent from the demons. It's not that hard to track you down since you smell of snow he told her and then sat down next to her. He shook his head and then ran his fingers through his hair. So what are you doing all the way out her anyway? I'm sure you have a reason? he questioned her.

Ayame nodded with a small sigh. She knew he was right. "I'm not completely weak you know...." She muttered. She was still tired, somewhat. It suprised her about the fact she wasn't Truly Hurt, yet it seemed like she was. Again, she was dead tired. "And it's not like I do run around like a lunitic asking for someone to take a chunck out of my leg." Ayame frowned but was blushing somewhat. Koga cared, he just had a funny way of showing it.

I'm able to because I have the proper training and power to deal with the more dangerous demons. I have lives depending on me, it's not like I run into the forest looking for a fight he told her sternley. He sighed and shook his head. Sometimes he just didn't know how to get through to her. But she had been like this ever since she was little and he knew that better then anyone else. Ayame was from a different tribe but she was still family in some sense. Both tribes needed to rely on each other in order to make it and having two of the higher ups bickering like children wasn't going to help. You need to understand that you need to be more careful. Think about the others who are waiting for you to return home safely he said to her softly.

Ayame frowned. "Yeah well it never stops you from running into trouble. So how can you say it to me?" She asked but already knowing the answer to her question. She looked around at the others in the cave. She was glad that Koga found happiness. He deserved that much even though he was't the nicest person at times. Ayame crossed her arms like he did and looked back at him. "I appretiate what you're doing but still." She grumbled.

Kouga came walking into the cave the moment Ayame started yelling. Keep it down will you! he shouted back. There are others trying to sleep he said as he walked up to her. He handed her some food and something to drink and then sat down next to her. He waited until she was finished eating.
Do you understand how stupid that was. You could have gotten yourself killed he told her folding his arms. You need to be more careful. The jewel might be gone but that doesn't mean the dangerous demons are he said lecturing her. He just didn't know how to get through to her sometimes.

'I'm moving..... But..... I was attacked......' Ayame thought, her eyes still shut. She was scared that when she opened them, she would see the demon as she was being devoured. She knew she would have to open her eyes soon. Then she stopped moving. She was set down on something. She had no idea if she was still even in the mountain where Kouga and his clan resided. She slowly opened one eye and saw figures scattered about the area. 'Cave....? Maybe.....' She thought as she opened her other eye and looked around. She sat up and looked around. She was in the cave she was delayed from visiting. Ayame placed her hand behind her head and rubbed. 'Who took me here? Didn't get here on my own obviously.' She thought frowning. She thought about calling out but decided against it. She thought harder and it seemed, it was not such a bad idea as she first thought. "Hey!" She cried out listening for a reply to answer her question.

The days had become peaceful. There was less fighting between the demons and not many attacked Kouga anymore since he lost his jewel shards. But there was still danger within the mountains. Nobody went out alone unless he approved of it.
Kouga was scouting the caves like usual, making sure everyone was there. But a fowl smell crossed his path. He didn't like it. And then he caught the scent of someone familiar that made him stop dead in his tracks. He quickly turned toward the entrance of the woods. That idiot! He yelled and then took off. The others stared at him in disbelief.
Kouga ran as fast as he could. Even without his jewel shards he was still faster then the others and plenty strong. He finally cam to a clear opening where he saw the demon towering over her. He had no time to think, only to act. He attacked the demon and took him out like it was nothing. It was really no challenge for him.
He looked down to her and saw her passed out on the ground. He frowned and then sighed. There was no helping it. Whenever it was like this Ayame always came down for some reason or another. He picked her up and carried her on his back as he made his way back to his cave.

Ayame ran through the mountain side searching for the enterence to the cave Koga and his comrades lived in. She had not talked to him for a long time and was not even sure he still lived in that location. She thought she was close for a moment and she smelled something odd. Something was watching her. She stopped and turned around. Her gaze fell on a rather large demon. It bared it's teeth and lunged at Ayame. She narrowly dodged the attack and sprinted away, the demon hot on her tail. She kept running as the demon was gaining on her. She felt the demon swipe at her feet. She screamed as its claws dug into the flesh of her ankle. She pulled the iris out of her hair and jabbed the demon's hand. It yowled in pain and Ayame struggled to her feet trying to flee from the creature.
