Destrey immediately liked Andy.He was not like the typical front man lead singers. Many of the people he meant were total and complete assholes. They cared nothing about the music anymore, the fame usually got to their head. It effected them in more ways than one. For instance, they tended to sound horrible when they sang, no longer caring what they sounded like. They had already made it. They would usually blame Destrey for their voices, but Destrey was no magician, he could not completely alter someone's voice. There was not helping someone who had let their voice go. All he could do was make them sound clearer, and higher or lower if needed.
"It was nice meeting you too Andy." He exchanged a glance with the male. It was hard to deny how cute Andy was. Four years ago, when Destrey was sixteen, he finally came out as being gay. In the back of his mind, he always knew that he was never happy with girls, but he never did anything about it. It was not until he meant his first boyfriend, did he finally realize what he truly wanted. His mother had been very supportive of his decision, he was thankful for that. Yet, he hardly told anyone, it was still difficult to talk about.
Destrey looked back down at the sound bored, messing with a few buttons. He turned on some of the stage lights, he would also be working those too. He looked back up at Andy, "You have ten minutes until they open the doors. Unless you want to get tackled by a bunch of fan girls, I suggest you join your band." He chuckled softly. It was very important to meet your fans...but it could also be exhausting. Some of the girls, and even guys, got intense.

Andy looked at him and nodded. He liked how friendly the boy was. It worked for him because he could deal with people like that much easier. He also noticed that the boy was flattering. Not that Andy hadn't been flattered before. He was actually told things like this boy said all the time, but it still made him feel better about himself and his music. HE soon smiled softly and looked towards the stage. He always felt a little jumpy before he had to get on the stage and perform. He was sure he was going to be fine, but he couldn't always be sure. He took a deep breath and then he slowly let it out before looked at the boy again. He heard what he said about his band and he sighed softly.
"Its no surprise that they weren't out to the bus. Hopefully they will be in here on time. I would hate to have to start without them." He said smiling faintly. He would never start without them. He couldn't. He loved his band members. Not only were they his friends but they were like family now. He couldn't let them go. He soon sighed softly and ran a hand through his hair. He hadn't relaxed much at all today. He had been up and moving around bugging people and making sure things were ready. He had also done a few interviews before he had came back to see how the sound was going. He was sure with this boy everything was going to be fine though. "Well I'm glad that we have you." He says.

Destrey was good at what he did. He had to be, to prove to people he could actually make it somewhere in the music business. His parents, disowned him when he told them he did not want to go to law school, or become a doctor. His mother was a lawyer and his father a surgeon. Destrey was indeed brilliant, but he did not want to follow in his parent's footsteps. He had another calling. He did not care if his parent's thought of it as a waste of time, it was something he loved. It no longer mattered what they thought, they were not longer apart of his life. He was quite happy about that too, he much preferred solitude. It was easier that way.
Destrey chuckled lightly at the other male. "Not that you need help with sounding good, but I got your back." He joked, pressing some buttons on the board, as it made a humming noise. The show was in an hour, doors opened in thirty minutes. He was quite excited to see how Black Veil Brides preformed today. He had never seen the band preformed, he had been on tour with Blessthefall, so there was no time to do much else.
Andy seemed to be looking around for something, and then he said his bandmates. Destrey nodded, he actually just saw them. "They went back to the bus, relaxing before the show. I did not get anything out of them, but they seemed a bit preoccupied." He smiled, grateful that Andy decided to get to know him. In the last band, he had worked for them for a year, and they did not even know his name. It was rather pathetic, that was on reason why he left, getting a new gig with a new band.

Andy looked at him. He watched as the other male that had been in the room with him and Destrey left. He was glad that he left. Sometimes he didn't like when people did things like that. It wasn't like the other sound people hadn't messed up before. He sighed softly and then he returned his blue eyed gaze to the boy and he smiled. "Well its nice to meet you Destrey." He said. The name did sound odd to him, but it wasn't like he hadn't heard anything odd like that before. He had heard different names from all over the world and to him it didn't matter. He listened as the boy assured him that he knew what he was doing and he smiled softly. He had faith in the boy even if others didn't.
"I'm sure you know what you are doing... I'm not afraid that you are going to mess up or anything like that... And if you do its not like anyone is perfect." He said simply after a moment. He looked around the room for a moment and then he sighed softly. He hadn't seen the other band members wondering around and he wandered for a moment what they could possibly be doing. He guessed that really it didn't matter as long as everything went okay. "I'm sure the others are around here somewhere... They will most likely greet you when they see you." He said still unsure of where they could possibly be at.

Andy had came over to Destrey introducing himself. To be perfectly honest, Destrey was slightly taken back by the other males kindness. He had been in the music business for some time now, and everyone seemed to only look out for one person; themselves. Typically, the band did not appreciate the other members of their team. Without the stage team or the sound crew, the band would virtually be nothing. However, bandmates hardly ever thought like such.
"My name's Destrey." He said, offering Andy his hand to shake. He knew his name was rather unique, and uncommon, but he had grew fond of it over the years. When he was younger, he had been teased because it sounded too much like "Dusty." He never understood children's logic, but it hurt none the less.
Andy told Drew that Destrey had everything under control, but Drew did not look too convinced. He seemed like he wanted to shadow over Destrey the whole night, making sure he messed nothing up. Thankfully though, he finally ended up leaving, going back stage, leaving the two males alone.
"It's not big deal. I've been mixing music since I was little. Sound booth's are a piece of cake." He promised. He knew it was his job to make the band sound better, but Andy already sounded great, even without his help. He did not believe he would have to do much for him, maybe some mic adjustments here and there, but nothing major.

Andy finally seen the boy. He was glad he had finally seen him now he had been getting a bit irritated. He walked over to him and offered one of his award winning smiles. He could always get people to like him. All he had to do was smile and turn on his charm that people seemed to love so much about him. As always he was good with people. He liked his fans and he liked the people he worked with. He had never been the type to dislike anyone that was trying to be his friend. He took time out of his day for just about anyone. He soon crossed his arms as he looked at the new boy that would be helping with the sound systems glad to see that the boy already seemed to accept him. He wasn't surprised most people usually liked him.
He soon offered his hand out to the boy. "I'm sure you already know this, but I am Andy." He said in his friendly way. He soon looked over at Drew because he knew that the man could be quite a talker. "I think the boy's got it all." He said as the other male left. Now the two were alone. Andy didn't mind this. He wasn't untrusting. He trusted anyone that was working with him. He smiled. "Its good to finally actuallys see who will be working with the equipment and stuff. I was beginning to get a little worried." He said.

"Okay, your job is to make the band sound good. The acoustics in this venue are not up to par as the other venues we have traveled too. You are going to have to make the sound levels match up, and make sure Andy is projecting out his vocals. Don't turn the guitar up to loud, it drowns out the singing..." Drew kept talked, and Destrey did his best to listen. It was his first day on the job, and apparently to his co worker, that meant he had never done the sound booth. However, that was no entirely true. He worked sounds for a few other bands, but this was his first real job that he was apart of the team. He was rather excited for that. "So, did you get all of that?"
Destrey's head jerked up, nodding. In truth, he had no idea what Drew had said to him, but the other male was satisfied, and went back to whatever he was doing before, leaving Destrey on his own. He leaned over, looking at the equipment, and he was itching to try it out. However, from the corner of his eyes, he saw someone leaning against the wall. He looked up, noticing it was the lead singer of Black Veil Brides, Andy. He had yet to met him. He offered him a smile.

Andy looked around and bit his bottom lip. He was trying to get ready for a concert, but first he had to go around and make sure everyone was working properly so nothing would go wrong. No one else had wanted to do this so he was of course doing this alone. Sighing softly he ran a hand through his dark black hair. He wasn't sure what he should be looking for. He soon walked towards where the sound equipment was. He had heard that they had gotten a new sounds guy and he hadn't met him yet so he was kind of curious to see what he was like. He looked around wondering where the guy was. He soon crossed his arms over his chest. A few of his band members were wanting to talk to him. Sighing softly Andy turned his attention to him and listened to them.
Once he was sure that they were done talking he decided that he would go ahead and look for the guy that would be working as the sound guy. He was going to have to meet him before everything go started. He soon leaned against the wall and closed his blue eyes. He yawned softly. He was tired and would be glad when this concert was over and he could sit back and relax for a little while.
