When she had been in the bathroom, she'd gotten her cut clean and wrapped it within a band aid. Then she'd gone to class late, and gotten yelled at for a few minuets, then paid attention to how many jumping jacks she had to do.
Lunch, couldn't have come soon enough. Lauta was sitting with the usual people she sat with at lunch. Bryant, his sister Brenda, Derick, and Brock. She froze when she heard a voice behind her. Everyone but her was grinning at him, big, nice grins. But mischievous all at the same time. When the paper was dropped by her, Lauta picked it up and started to read.
"Lemme see that!" Bryant exclaimed, reaching across the table to grab the paper. Lauta snatched it away from him. Bryant's mouth fell into a playful "o". "Ooh! Love letter from the Brit!"
"Shut up Bryant, it is not. Leave me alone."
"Bleh! Grouchy!"
Lauta didn't pay attention to his comment upon her attitude, her face was too busy being dropped into a horrified look. Her brown eyes scanned and read through. She read each paragraph twice to make sure she got the phrases right. 'I can't believe this. How, how unfair!' When Lauta looked up from her new clipping, she found that all the smiles on her friend's faces had vanished. They were serious. "I gotta go."
"What? You going to go meet him?" Bryant asked, crossing his arms and turning away from Lauta-Beth angerly. Lauta rolled her eyes and gathered her things, including the granola bar she'd gotten for lunch. She wasn't all that into eating anyways.
Lauta was now heading for English, her second to last class. She wanted to get there early to finish up some words she hadn't understood. Upon arrival to the class, Lauta found that the teacher was missing. No matter, she knew where the dictionaries were. She dropped her stuff off at her seat and grabbed one of the Websters dictionaries and began scanning through the words. When she finally got what one meant, she wrote down the definition. Lauta didn't let her mind wander again, she was determined to get all of this done.

Teddy rolled her eyes. Were all girls this dramatic? He watched her pick up her pen and notcied that she was bleeding. He was about to say something about it but was cut short when she said something to him. "If you don't want people to know, you won't follow me around. Before yesterday, I didn't even know who you were, don't you think following me around will raise suspicions?"
Honestly Teddy hadn't thought about it that way. He did suppose it would raise some suspicion. Maybe following her around all the time wasn't the bst idea. He was going to agree with her but he supposed she wasn't done with her rant. "Don't come anywhere near me... or else." Teddy had to resist the urge to roll his eyes. Who was she to threaten him? He was going to let it slid for the time being but when it came to lunch he was going to have a very serious talk with her. He watched her disappear down the hall before going to study hall.
Teddy finished his calculus homework in record time then went over to one of the computers the classroom had to offer and like any unself-respecting celebrity he googled himself. Luckily nothing new had poped up on the American tabloids but the British ones seemed to be eating up the new photos of him. He was applaud to find that some of them had listed Lauta as a long lost sister but most people seemed to have went the normal route and claimed her to be his new love intrest, the reason he had left court. Teddy rolled his eyes at the ridiculous claims but printed the papers out non-the-less. He then found news from about a month or two ago. His family had been targeted by a terroist group. They had attacked their motorcade and killed two of their body guards. Luckily no one in his family had been hurt. Teddy printed out this clipping as well.
When lunch rolled around Teddy went and sat with his friends like he normally would but he kept his on Lauta and the clock. When the period was almost over he picked up his bag and made his way to her table. He sat down across from her and slid the papers he had printed off to her. "Read those," he said pointing to the papers. "The press now know what you look like and think your somehow contected to me. You may not want to have anything to do with me but sooner or later they'll track you down and if they keep linking you to me they won't be the only ones after you." Teddy then picked up his bag and made his way to his History class. Hoepfully she would take his warning and understand that keeping quiet wasn't only for his benefit now but also for hers.

"None of your business!" Lauta exclaimed, she snapped her wrist awat from his hand, but it caught on one of his nails and cut into her skin. Immediately blood began to rise. She put her hand behind her back and pressed her wrist against her pants to keep the bleeding form getting worse. "C'mon, Bryant is one of my closest friends and can read me like a book, you silly boy, he knows. Well, I think he does, he doesn't act like it, but I can..." Lauta frowned to herself and shook her head. 'No! Don't let him do this to you!'
"Just, get away from me. I told you I wouldn't tell, and now you're following me around like a lost puppy! Go away!" Lauta crossed her arms now, the cute rubbing against her skin. The blood was refusing to dry. "If you don't want people to know, you won't follow me around. Before yesterday, I didn't even know who you were, don't you think following me around will raise suspicions?"
Lauta shook her head and knelt to the ground, she'd dropped one of her pens from her pocket. She shoved it back into its place and stood back up. She really didn't want to deal with Teddy. It had only been two hours, and he was already driving her nuts! She wished she'd stayed in Sturgis, Sturgis was a nice little quiet town. Had a good church too. Lauta could use some Godly words right about then.
"Don't come anywhere near me... or else." Lauta warned, she then spun around and walked the opposite direction of her classroom. Most kids were already in their classrooms. Only a few stragglers remained. Lauta was heading for the bathroom. She needed to cool off, and clean up her cut. Sure, she wasn't actually going to do anything. She never would get someone into trouble on purpose. But she was hoping her threat would work.

Teddy sat in his chem class, eyes darting to the clock every so often. He was on the edge of his seat towards the end, counting down the seconds until it rang. When it did he bolted out of the classroom without so much as a glance backwards. He raced down the hall, pushing past kids, trying to get to the psycology classroom before she left.
When he got there she was gone. He hadn't been quick enough. He looked up and down the hallway and saw her no where. He went to her locker and she wasn't there either. Teddy swore and then quickly made his way to his own locker to gather up his pre-calculus stuff. He made his way into the classroom just as the bell was ringing. He looked around and spotted Lauta in her normal seat. Teddy scowled and made his way to the empty desk beside her. He didn't answer the questoning looks from his friends who looked curious as to why he wasn't sitting with them.
"You gave me the slip," he said as he slid into the desk next to her. "Next time you do that I'm going to tell your little friend that your crushing on him." Teddy shot her a glare as the teacher walked in but shut up despite wanting to reprimand her some more. He took out his homework as class began and passed it to the front like everyone else.
He sat through the class silently fuming. Every time she would open her mouth to talk he would perk up abit to listen what she was saying. Then slumped back in his seat releaved when she hadn't mentioned him. The teacher gave the homework assignment and Teddy wrote it down in his notebook. He glanced up at the clock and much like the last class waited for the bell to ring. When it did he grabbed Lauta by the wrist and drug out into the hallway. "Don't think I won't hesitate to tell him. Give me the slip one more time and I will tell him." Teddy led her down the hallway to her locker and waited for her to grab her stuff. He glanced down at his watch and was thankful he had study hall next. He didn't have to go to his locker and grab anything because he could just work on his calculus. Still though he would be pushing for time. "What class do you have next?"

"He's not my lover boy, he's my friend..." Lauta had muttered when Teddy had started talking. As he continued, her face dropped lower, and lower, and lower. She felt as if she was going to shoot herself! Waiting by her locker? Walking her to class?! 'If he does that, everyone will think-- and Bry will-- no!' Lauta shook her head, her face was bright red with anger and embarrassment. Before she could object, she found herself within her classroom. A frown was written across her face. A perfectly normal life, turned wrong. What were the odds?!
Lauta could barely pay attention to her psychology teacher, her mind was boggled. She loved the class too, but her mind couldn't think right. 'He didn't believe me... my lord. I should've just had mom pick me up like she offered. My pride and I... always. No, and everyone'll think, and girls will get--, then Bry will never--' Lauta let out a soft groan and slammed her forehead onto her desk. Her teacher didn't stop talking, she merely continued with her lesson.
'Calm down Lauta-Beth. You're okay, you're okay. It's not the end of the world. You and Bry wouldn't have happened anyways, you're too good of friends. Calm it, c'mon, calm it...' Lauta's light brown eyes moved slightly when she saw a piece of paper slip onto her desk. She sat up, and unfolded it. 'A note?' She asked herself. Her eyes moved across the paper as she read. Her face twisted with anger and regret. She shoved it into her trapper-keeper just as the bell rang and then quickly stood.
"I've gotta shake him somehow..." Lauta's thought was out loud. She picked up her things and ducked into the hallway. Her eyes darting left and right.

Teddy looked at theguy as he came up. That guy was in his chem class. Other then that he didn't know anything about him. But judging by the look on Lauta's face she knew alot about him. Teddy smirked. He might just have something on this girl. He watched her watch him walk away before she turned and came towards her locker. "Hi Teddy, was there something you needed?" Teddy eyed her. She looked a bit nervous. Maybe she did tell someone and was afraid that he had found out. Teddy decided to play it cool.
"No," he said pushing himself off the locker and readjusting his bag on his shoulder. "Unlike your lover boy I come prepared. Pens and all." Teddy smirked then got serious. "I just came to make sure that you kept up your promise." Teddy looked down at his feet and shuffled them nervously. "Then I decided that only way to know for sure your not running your mouth is to make sure you can't." Teddy looked up from his shoes and smiled as he heard her slam her locker shut. "So come on new best friend. Let me walk you to class." Teddy linked his arm through hers and led her down the hall way. "I'm going to be waiting for you at your locker every morning. I'm going to walk you to every class and meet you outside every class. I'll sit with you in the lunch room and if you have to go to the library after school I'll follow you there. I need to make sure no one finds out. Sorry." Teddy stopped outside her first class. He really did feel bad about having to follow this chick around all the time. It wasn't her fault she overheard something she shouldn't have. He'll give it a week. If she hadn't told anyone by then then he would let her off the hook. "Have fun in class Lauta. I'll be here waiting after you get out." With that Teddy left her at the door and made his way to his chem class. He walked into the class and spotted the guy who had approached Lauta and glared at him. No particular reason, he just felt like it. Then he took his normal seat towards the front and sat down, waiting for the class to begin.
{OOC: No I think that's a brilliant idea! I think I may add a little bit of my own twist later on.}

Lauta frowned when she saw Teddy by her locker. She should've known, should've known that he wouldn't believe she wouldn't tell. Well, maybe a little piece of her had thought she'd get off the hook. But it was merely wishful thinking. Wishful thinking didn't get anybody anywhere. It didn't get Lauta anywhere anyways. Or her mother, or anyone else she knew.
'Who knows, it may get some people places...'Lauta turned when she heard her name, not from Teddy though. It was Bryant. A smile immediately formed upon her face at the sight of him. His eyes were a piercing green, his hair was dark red and shone under the florescent lights.
"Hey Bry.""Hey, I was wondering if maybe you could loan me a pen? I'm out... and--" Lauta didn't even let Bryant finish before she pulled out a pen from her front left pocket and handed it to him.
"Thanks." Bryant's eyes moved from Lauta to Teddy,
"What's he doing by your locker? You guys have something going or...?"Lauta shook her head to him,
"Definitely not, I didn't even know who he was until yesterday.""Right, I gotta go, see ya.""Bye..." Lauta watched as Bryant walked away, a small blush upon her face.
"There he goes..." She murmured to herself when she knew he was out of earshot. Lauta shook her head, she didn't have time for thinking and lusting after Bryant, she had to go to her locker. Lauta turned around and headed back to her locker, a smile still written on her face from the Bryant aura.
"Hi Teddy, was there something you needed?"An innocent look was written upon Lauta's face as she asked this question. She was still being wishful and hoping he'd forgotten about the vocabulary and wanted to copy hers or something. Anything like that. Perhaps some math?
'Please?' Lauta mentally begged.

I thought it'd be interesting if she so happened to like a guy already. It'd make sense, plus it'd cause a little trouble. Yeah?

Teddy let out a sigh of relief. She wasn't going to tell anyone. He was safe. Maybe. He didn't really know this girl. What if she said she wasn't going to tell anyone but went home and called the first person she thought of to tell them. He could hear the conversation in his head. "Lyke OMG that one guy from English. The wierd exchange student. He's totally the Prince of England!" "Lyke OMG No wayz!!!" Teddy shuddered. Sometimes the way girls talked hurt his head and made him efeel like he lost a point on his I.Q. when he listened to them. Which was the main reason he had such little interactions with them.
Teddy glanced over at the girl again and was about to say something when his phone vibrated in his pocket. He pulled it out and answered it. "Ello," he said into the reciever. He was met by the worried voice of his foster mom. Teddy glanced down at his wtach and noticed that he was almost ten minutes late. Teddy explained what had happened with the reporters and how he was now on his way to the Museums. She offered to come get him but he told her not to worry. He would just catch a taxi at the museum. Teddy hung up the phone and stuffed it into his pocket just as the bus came to a stop. Teddy stood up and slung his bag over his shoulder. He shot one last look at the girl. He supposed he was going to have to trust her. For tonight at least. "See you tomorrow," he said before hopping off the bus and disappearing into the crowd.
When he was at his foster parents house he called his mother like he did every night and told her about his day. She was horrified at what he had to tell her and promised that it wouldn't happen again. When she mentioned sending a bodyguard he dismissed the idea. That would only make things worse. He hung up with her promise to make it better.
The next day at school Teddy waited by his locker. He had asked around and eventually someone was able to tell him where it was at. No one was looking at him differently and he didn't see reporters staked outside the school so he was guessing that she had kept his secret but that didn't mean wasn't still on edge. He spotted her coming towards him and smiled. "Good morning Lauta," he said as he watched her approach her locker.

Lauta smiled to him,
"Tis not a problem." Lauta let her mind think a moment,
"Both those classes, really?" This, was obviously news to Lauta, who didn't recognize his name until he'd just introduced himself. She was beginning to feel even more stupid by the moment. He remembered her, but she didn't remember him? That was just, lovely. Really, it was.
'Tell him your name you moron...' The tiny voice was back and speaking to Lauta once again.
"My name is Lauta-Beth, but most of everyone just calls me by the first part, Lauta." Lauta liked her name. Her mother had made it up, so it had no meaning, it meant Lauta was bound to nothing, the Beth part was different, but most people just paid attention to the Lauta piece anyways, so it didn't really matter. Maybe she would say her name meant "Free", since it was, in its own way, free.
Lauta found that her attention was turning from her name and began to listen to his next words.
'Exchange student? Well that makes more sense! No need to be guilty any longer!' Lauta was feeling rather please with herself now that she knew why it was so hard to recognize him. Lauta never really paid any attention to the foreign exchange students anyways, so she was within the safe.
Course, then came his sentence about Royalty.
"I, of course not. I wouldn't mention it to anyone." Lauta could feel her lips move, and hear her words, but she was still stuck on that one word.
Royalty. Again with feeling stupid. Britain royalty? That meant he was--
Point lost for Lauta, time to begin the tally to stupid moments she was going to own.
