"So I can't call a rematch?" Holly asked sarcastically. "Sorry for the riddles Maka" Holly said, finally getting the girls name correctly. "But that is exactly what happened to me." She said a quick command into her helmet, and her wings brought her to a hover. "Artemis if you don't wish to make a deal, then I have no business here."

She turned around and started through the door, only to be stopped by a heavy hand on her shoulder. She shrugged it off "Obviously I have nothing to gain here." She was waiting for Butler to talk Artemis into it...

Maka nodded her head slowing. "Not a thing." she said in reply to her asking Maka if she remembered much. Then it was off the to races again with the mentioning of gold.

"What would you do, Holly?" she asked curiously, blinking.

"Here we go again..." Butler sighed silently. "As I remember correctly, we've earned the gold properly and yet you're going to take a gander for it? He said tiredly. Of course he would take Artemis' side.

He looked at the boy for any side of a counter the boy would plot in his mind to keep the gold.

Holly nodded, feeling silly. "Right, I forgot amnesia" Holly said "You don't remember much of anything do you? Something materialistic I must say. One ton of metric gold from you. Would you help them then?"

"Holly!" Artemis said agitated

"It is a valid point isn't it Butler?"

Holly couldn't see the mans response, but sue was almost positive he would side with Artemis.

"Maka." she corrected Holly again kindly with an anxious smile.

"Well the obvious answer is no, but it depends on what they took that I loved. Whether it was a materialistic item or a treasured family member. I don't think I've had such an experience though." she explained her answer thoroughly.

Maka stared at Holly confounded by the native language unknown to the human. "This is my fault...isn't it?" the girl lowered her head. Her bangs over shadowing her eyes in the lighting. If she hadn't wash out to sea, they wouldn't be here-arguing with one another.

She had some of the blame to this.

"Mika" holly said

Artemis interrupted again with "It's Maka"

"Right, Maki, ok so, What would you do, if a... Burglar, took everything you love, then gave half of it back. Remind you, they never once apologize to you, then they ask you to help them with something. Would you do it?" Holly asked

"Captain that is completely irrelevant!"

Holly's voice lowered to a growl. "You weren't the one locked away for god only knows how long" She was speaking in gnomish again, and Artemis just looked at her. Now the change of events was Holly showing weakness

"Oi oi.." Maka said confidently as she walked into the mist of things. She didn't really mind her name being mistaken the first or second time. The fairy'll learn later on.

"Absolutely not." Butler scoffed, not lowering his gun until Maka wrapped her hand around Holly's. "Let's be friends, okay?"

She turned to Artemis and took his hand as well and laughed. "You know, you both argue like an old couple." she said before letting go of their hands.

"Now then, what's this deal you both at bickering about? Or more so the bargain." she asked concerned.

"Miki" Holly said, "come here"

"It's Maka Short"

Holly turned slowly towards Artemis. "Did you just call me" Holly choked on the word "Short?"

"Well that's you na-"

"you think that you have the authority to call me-" Holly stopped and took her gun out "You disgust me Fowl" Holly cocked the gun as she heard the same behind her. It was Butler threatening her. She holstered her gun. "You know big guy, you owe me for saving your life, let me just take one good swing at my kidnapper" Holly said to Butler

Maka watched both of them bicker. Beneath her, shadows collided and crashed together. Hm. This is what a war would look like.

She glanced over to Butler and saw his hardened demean that shot a shiver up her spine. Maka wasn't the type to bother someone unless they wanted a casual conversation.

Then gold came up. Her eyes flickered between each speaker as they talked back and forth between each other about gold.

So Artemis was a thief.

Artemis and Holly bickered for a while.

"Alright, alright" Holly said finally "I'll help you" She said throwing her hands up melodramatically. Her talkative bit had died down and she was back to her normal self. "But you know nothing is free in this world."

"What is it that you want?" Artemis asked with a sigh.

"Oh, mudboy, but isn't it obvious? The gold" Artemis looked at her with a frown.

"I won that gold" Artemis said

"And I am earning it back"
