Butler looked at his Principal and chuckled slightly. "It's such a sight to see you like this." he said somewhat with curiousity in his voice. "Has the girl made you this way?"
Either way. He knew Artemis that he was going to diagnose that small scythe incident and break down what Maka really was. "Miss Albarn is proving to be quite interesting." he said.
Maka could studied the marine life that popped up on the plasma screen inside of the helmet. This was obviously advanced technology. Her hand slightly brushed against the water again and she closed her eyes. The gulls cried up above. This...was so serene. If this is what she got for being an amnesiac maybe she should stay like this. Her memories were too bad to remember.
"I think you would love to fly. If you were in the LEP, youd probably be my best friend."
She looked up at Holly with not a look of pity, but an extended hand of friendship. Even though Holly couldn't probably see her eyes, but they were sparkling. "LEP?" she repeated. Maka suspected it to be short for a police brigade or something of the sort.
Artemis rubbed his temples and sighed deeply. "Well, what are we supposed to do? We don't even know where she is from. Holly knows something. She isn't leaking. That is her gambling token. She gets the knoledge, then when we pay her, she spills everything. First, we need to let Holly do her work. Then we can decide" He said stiffly.
Holly didnt like fish either, but she thought it was a good joke. Holly took off her helmet, which was completely against all LEP regulations. She slipped it onto the girl. Holly spoke a few commands, so that the girl could see everything under the sea. "I think you would love to fly. If you were in the LEP, youd probably be my best friend." SHe said a bit softly.
She looked down at Maka. Her eyes glistened as the morning sun hit the water and reflected back. Maka was smiling again. Holly could tell
Butler moved over to the blinds and looked out of them. The window peered out of sea to where the girl's were. "Located them. Just above the ocean, flying as it seems." he said before moving back and closing the blinds.
"What should we do with the girl?" he asked his employer.
"Ah. I don't like fish." Maka said with a bit of a grumble. But still, she basked in the beauty of the marine life and smiled.
"I wish I could fly like you, Holly. This would be a good way to clear my head whenever I'm angry." she said softly before touching her shoulder.
Artemis sighed and rubbed his temples. "Yes indeed. Holly isn't making matters any better. Where do you think they went?" Artemis asked curiously.
Holly laughed along with Maka. "We are flying over the Irish Seq, if you turned a few clicks to the south, we would hit the Celtic sea. Here you could fish Sea Trout, Eel, Rudd, Perch, Hibrids, and many others. Many fisherman make there profits here of in the Celtic" Holly babbled on. She looked down at Mika and said with a smile, "But whO cares about crummy fish unless they are fried anyways?"
Maka gulped and backed away as well. "Yeah." she said nervously. She rubbed the back of her head a laughed. "Sorry about that!"
"How would you like to go for a ride?"
Maka opened her mouth to respond, but closed it when Holly grabbed her hand and took her by her wrist. She saw a flash of Artemis and Butler in the study room before a strange belt was wrapped around her waist. She stared confusedly at this before she looked at Holly say something about not going back.
At first, she had second thoughts, but her courage and desire to fly with Holly got the better of her. "Yup!" she grinned excitedly before Holly kicked on the throttle and they took off over the ocean.
Her fears and screams deteriorated rather quickly to a fit of giggles and awe. She noted how Holly flew a little close to the ocean to where Maka could scoop water into her open palm. "This is amazing, Holly." she laughed.
After seeing Captain Short and Maka leave the house, a sigh of relief rushed over Butler, but not for long. It was only temporary.
He turned to Artemis and sighed. "That girl...is going to be a handful." he admitted, remembering the scythes sprouting out of her earlier. Maka wasn't a normal girl.
Far from that.
Holly was taken aback by the childs affection. Holly found herself wrapping her arms around the child slowly. "Now wouldn't be an ideal time for a Scythes to come out of your chest" Holly said a bit sarcastically as she pulled away from Maka. "What do you remember?" She asked slowly as the pictures still bounced around on the visor. Maka explained about heritage in Ireland and Japan.
"Well that's good isn't it!? I think I know what triggers your reactions too. You obviously saw something on there that triggered a switch in your memory. We have to find those pinpoints..." Holly paused and smiled a bit too deviously "How would you like to go for a ride?" She asked. Without letting Maka respond, she grabbed the girls wrist and ran down the hall with her.
As hey past Artemis’ study, Holly called over her shoulder, "Don't forget to invite me in!"
The two girls ran through the manor until they reached the front door. Holly took the helmet off of Maka and set it on herself. Holly and Maka stepped outside the house, and Holly immediately clipped the moonbelt to Maka. "No going back now huh?" She asked as she kicked the throttle on the wings, and set off over the ocean.
Maka's eyes shimmered. This history that projected into her mind was being explained occasional by quite a sarcastic voice. It made quips once in a while about her amnesia situation, but she ignored it to learn.
"Holly...this is..." she tried finding the proper words for it. After releasing a bout of stubborn anger at the fairy, she felt an apology was in order, although she was too-as said before-stubborn to say so. She lowered her head as another projection came in front of her eyes and mumbled. "..gomenasai." she muttered in Japanese.
Then she smiled and moved out of her seat to hug Holly. "Thank you." she said with a soft smile. "I-I think I remember a fraction or two of something..." she lied somewhat. She discovered that she obviously of Japanese heritage, but also Irish.
An image of a man with red hair and blue eyes flashed in her mind. He was flirting with other women while a smaller version of Maka hid behind a tree to watch in him silence.
Holly sat down. She had wasted alot of her magic. No- she didn't sit down... she fell down. "The girl doesn't get it Artemis. I don't wan't the gold, Root does. Hell, I don't blame her, we haven't told her anything" She thought about the words Maka had said. Friends? Holly only had two friends; Trouble and Foaly, and the sad part was, those two were her collugues.
Holly sighed "Perhaps I can make a small change in the plan." Holly steadied to her feet and walked in the general direction Maka had gone. She found the library doors open, so she walked through them to find her sitting at the desk. Before holly did anything else she spoke softly into her speaker, "Foaly stay on the line."
Holly walked up behind the girl and slowly placed the helmet on her. It was a bit small for the human, but it worked. Holly saw excitment and Aw pass over the girls eyes as the images of everything in human history passed by. Holly knew none of this would help, but everything the girl saw, Holly somehow knew, would be etched into her brain. Foaly would stop a picture once in a while and tell Maka what it was.
Holly hoped she could help, she honestly wanted to, but the comander wouldnt have it without anything in return. She knew he wouldn't
