Evelyn’s eyes bulged at the words that Lelend had said so carefully while Maria’s smirk turned deadly. Her eyes seemed to sparkle with something that made Evelyn cowered against Lelend, though in her mind she was screaming out not to let the male touch her anymore then he was while another voice in her head screamed out that she had defiled a werewolf. Where was Lily when she needed to be here?! That would have been the cherry on her day if she could have seen Lily’s face when Lelend pronounced to the world that he was still a virgin. Now she finally understood why there was a need for recorders and Evelyn had a feeling that that confession wasn’t something that the teen werewolf was going to just bring up at breakfast or dinner.
“Calm just confused.” Evelyn murmured darkly, slipping away from Lelend’s side to stand on her own. She could fight her own battles and why he was trying to save her now was completely confusing in a whole different matter. Where was mister emotional? Chomping down on her bottom lip, Eve reach out and touched Lelend’s arm, whether it was to steady him or herself, she couldn’t tell.
“A necromancer. Well, Lelend, thank you for telling that. Would have never guessed that on my own.” The smirk made Evelyn smile and her steps retreat back towards Acheron as she stepped past Lelend, not something that Eve would have done with the emotional teen, but it was her choice. However, Maria stopped before the distance between them could disappear into nothingness. “You are rather rare, you know that Eve? Do you know how many people would kill to have your power?” Maria, crossed her arms over her chest, eyeing her nails as if she were bored with the conversation at hand – though Evelyn couldn’t take her eyes off the other as she stared at the other eye color. Making a mental list, Evelyn tried to piece together what Maria was from the short list of things that she knew from romance novels. Super human strength, but she wasn’t a werewolf, so there goes one of the things that she could have been. Her eyes changed colored, not something that she did, nor did she had strength like Maria did. So Maria wasn’t a necromancer. Had some weird anger problems but not as bad as Lelend – so maybe werewolf? Her head began to spin with the ideas that she almost didn’t notice the distance that was closing in on her and Maria.
Shifting away from the other, Evelyn moved up on the washer beside Acheron, at least from up there she could toss the new kid at Maria if things got too tough. Maria turned her head towards Lelend, the male that seemed to still have a problem with controlling his anger. “I didn’t ask for your trust did I? I just told you what you were, nothing more than that. Unless you were referring to back when we were in school together – then that was just a play as well.” Maria tossed her hair over her shoulder as she moved back away from Evelyn and leaned back against the stairs side, this letting Evelyn breath a sign of relief. At least there wasn’t going to be a fight between them again. Because the small brunette was sure that if they went at it again, something else on her body was going to be destroyed. Even now her ankle throbbed and her hands where now crushing with dry blood – she didn’t even want to think about the injuries that were under her clothes. “Tell me Lelend – up until I started bullying her, you didn’t give a rats ass about what happened to her, now you’ve gone all noble? I was rather hoping that you would help me with this-” She eyed Evelyn slowly like a predictor eyes their prey, “-problem. Really, just because you are part dog Lelend doesn’t mean you have to act like one and remain loyal to that.”
Evelyn held up her injured hands in defeat. “I am not the problem here. I’ve felt you guys alone. Just like you asked me too.”
“I don’t care.” Maria sneered back.
Sighing Evelyn wiped her hands on her jeans, wrinkling her nose as the blood refused to come off, the look still didn’t remove itself from her face as she looked up and met with Maria’s eyes. “You look like the fucking vampire in this light.” With that simple sentence, Maria’s face transformed into something terrify that made a silent scream slip from Evelyn’s lips as the other girl flew towards her with unnatural speed. Oh lovely, she was going to die on the washer.
The simple shove that sent Evelyn tumbling onto her bottom down the rest of the stairs, sent a snarl ricocheting into Lelend's chest. "What the hell, Maria!" Lelend yelled at the girl, the words practically ripping from his lips. He snarled again, and leaned down, prepared to help Evelyn up. He actually had feelings for this girl.. Whether he'd admit to them fully or not, even after that day in which he'd been suddenly kissed for the first time.. He still saw her as a friend. Even as a hero, because she'd taken such charge and taken care of him that fateful night when he'd first had those fatal spasms; or so fatal to him, because of all the pain he'd gone through. But he'd gone through it with Evelyn.. And slowly, Lelend was beginning to not regret it. His heart was pounding erratically, never slowing down fully and never speeding to the point of a heart attack.
It pumped, and bumped and slammed against his rib cage in odd directions, making him clutch onto his shirt once more as he watched the two-girls practically go at it. Acheron looked pale, and looked prepared to faint on the dryer, but he kept his eyes open wide; the whites still showing too much. Lelend was ready to tear the male's sockets, and tape them closed since he looked so horrid but he fought back those terrible urges. Breathing deeply, Lelend made much effort to try and stable himself.. But he couldn't. The bottom pits of his stomach seemed to burn, and he believed he would throw up. In fact, he turned his body away from the two females in case he were to throw up, and hadn't enough time to dodge to a bucket of some sort.
But.. It seemed Lelend was only getting angrier, with each word Maria spoke. He wanted to go at her throat, ripe it open.. To spill her organs onto the floor, and watch her face contort into pain and horror as she watched her own blood drain and her life die out. It'd be a sight for anyone but Lelend, just.. Couldn't. He knew he couldn't, or else he wouldn't be transferred. He'd be locked away in a mental jail, for special people; if there were such a thing. "Evelyn... You're.. Not a werewolf. Of course not.. You see dead people; those who have gone upon the grave, but yet haven't any reason to leave yet. Spirits," Lelend blurted suddenly, and then practically shied away despite his burning anger towards Maria. "Maria, stop fucking touching her already!" Lelend growled, gritting his teeth the whole way. His fists were balled up, and his whole frame was starting to shake. It started with the top half, and then slowly rippled down throughout his body until he just couldn't stop. He seriously wanted Maria to stop being this way.
And her giggle only made things worst. So smug, and coy. Playing it so well, making Evelyn probably feel incredibly confused and insane in this situation. It practically sickened him.. This girl he trusted and believed in, had turned incredibly evil in his eyes and now he wanted not a thing to do with her. "Get.. Away.. From.. Her.. You've talked about me, hm? It seems I have such a reputation for fucking females, and being a player, when I just recently got my first kiss and I'm still a virgin!" Lelend cried out, spitting the words out left and right his grin wry and rueful once more. He tossed a strand of hair back into his tufts, and glared at Maria. Swallowing hard, he put his shaking fists onto his forehead and stood there for a while. Just breathing deeply, trying to center himself. Acheron still sat, dumbstruck. "Let's just.. All.. Calm.. Down.." He said slowly, more to himself than others. But it made him feel just slightly better when he addressed everyone. Brushing past Maria, he leaned down and grabbed Evelyn's forearm with that shaking palm of his. Using his other arm to hook her waist, and pull her up with ease without hurting her further.
"God fucking damn.." Acheron cussed in the corner, placing his mask back over his face. Using it like a shield to battle the fight between the three. Then he wrapped his arms tightly around his waist, licking his lips eagerly as if he were hungry; but more nervous than ever. "Now..Ever since learning that you saw something that day I could not, I guessed it could only be a spirit.. I've had a past in my family with such things. Superstitions and crap. I researched. Supernatual beings are what we're talking about Evelyn; yea, more craziness in a mental ward, huh? I don't know what Maria is, and I don't think I ever will be known to this.. Actually, I'm quite pissed since I trusted you Maria.." Lelend stabbed his orbs over to the female, being sure to keep himself between Eve and Maria in case she decided to attack her again. Clearing his throat loudly, and to the extent where he himself winced in slight pain.. He put his arms up, palms out. "Do you know what a Necromancer is... Eve?" Lelend inquired, looking towards the brunette. Seeing her curls tossed wildly around, because of her fall.
Evelyn whirled around to face Lelend, her teeth grinding together as it did so, her hand jetted out and slapped his across the face. Tears that had been ready to spill did so as an endless stream of them cascaded down her face. Her body ached from where she had been beaten – but no fucking body cared about that. The only thing that anyone cared about was Maria – the one that could do no fucking wrong. “Funny that you think I would talk to people that just moments ago I was being attacked and no one fucking did anything.” She held up a finger to keep anyone from talking – it was still her turn – if she was going to die, then she was going to at least get a few jabs at Lelend in. “And the reason I think – because I can do that ALL on my own – that you are out to get me is because she-” Evelyn jerked her thumb back at Maria whom stood behind her, an impish grin on her face as she watched the smaller female’s down fall. “- Told me! But you don’t fucking care about that. You only care about yourself and who you’re fucking.” Evelyn’s eyes turned towards the new kid, his name still not imbedded into her mind as she made eye contact with him or at least she thought that she had. Perhaps he was already in on their little play. Since he watched as well – maybe they were all hoping that Maria would push her down the stairs, break her neck, no one cared about her. And that was becoming a more growing fear – she was completely alone here. “And maybe I kissed you to get a Pilly Lilly off my back because YOU made it ten times worse with whatever you said to her that day – and you wanna know something Lelend – It worked, she doesn’t fuck with me anymore AND I WOULD LOVE, just fucking LOVE if you stopped fucking around with me too!” By the time she ended her little speech, Evelyn was out of breath and breathing had become so what of a chore.
Maria shrugged at the girls outburst. “True, I did tell you all those things about Lelend, whether they be true or not.” She took and step forward and shoved at Evelyn again, this time, making her tumble forward to the ground. A hiss of pain left Evelyn as she pushed herself up to a sitting position, her hands shaking as she watched blood bubble up from the new wounds on them. This girl was going to kill her and no one even said a word about it. They were all too busy attacking her to even think that this girl could do anything like that. And they were watching it! Bastards! All of them! “Besides, this wouldn’t have happened if you just told me what you are.”
“I still don’t know what the hell you are talking about!” Evelyn glared up at the girl, scooting back, the brunette noticed a few more injuries that she had received since falling down the stairs.
Maria gave her a cold look. “Really? No idea what you are? Well, perhaps you’re like Lelend, though don’t get your hopes up on hooking up with him.” At that Evelyn actually snorted out loud. Like she was going to even look at the male nicely after this, because he was starting to be more of a woman then she was. Who stands there and makes time for themselves while someone else is in peril – Lelend and the new kid it seemed.
“What- Me a werewolf?” Evelyn pushed herself up onto shaking legs, though her attention was taken by something out of the corner of her eye. She hadn’t seen the door before because she was standing in the wrong places, but standing where she was now, she could see that the door was behind the washer. Lovely, she was going to have to try and move large machines after being attacked, this day was just getting better and better. “I just see dead people – nothing werewolf about that.” Eve thought sourly as she backed away from Maria as she took her final steps off the stairs, her eyes looking towards Lelend.
“I do not believe I said anything about not telling anyone else about your condition. Besides, you all but bonded yourself with Eve the night of your first transformation.” Her eyes looked back towards Evelyn, her eyes flashing once more before returning to normal to look back at Lelend. “Just ignore me then, talk at Eve, since she is the one that I’m going to be talking to for the moment.”
Evelyn narrowed her eyes slightly as she moved away from the duo, since it would be the day hell froze over when she stood next to people that wanted her dead. Instead she moved, not close to the dyer, but far enough from everyone that they could easily push her into anything or try to do anything else towards her. “I don’t know what the hell you are talking about – but what the hell are you then? Since you know what everyone else is.”
Maria only giggled at the question and shook her head.
"So, what's it with you and that girl? Evelyn I believe?" Acheron inquired, cocking a brow at the male, even though they were hidden beneath his curly locks. Slowly, his fingers fluttered across his face, and he tugged on of the them. Straightening it, and then letting it go.. Watching as it slapped lightly against his forehead, bouncing back into its usual curl. His masquerade mask still hung loosely around his neck, and soon he was nipping his finger nails at that too. It appeared that this male could not and would not sit still. He either had to be doing something, or fidgeting. Whether it was kicking the floor, raising up dust to the already murky air. Just tossing his legs around, playing with that mask - that made Lelend wonder why he had it - or with his hair. He was always doing something. It made Lelend curious as to whether he had something like ADD, and that was why he got in; others just couldn't deal with him, and thought he was retarded so they slapped the title of crazy on him and sent him there. Or possibly, even his family made up some erratic story and sent him to the ward; they possibly couldn't deal with his sudden spasms either.
Breathing a deep sigh, Lelend dragged a slightly clammy palm through his tufts. It seemed his hair was always spiked up in a way, resting on his head nicely; as some called it back in high school, his permanent bed head. It was funny before, but now Lelend was starting to feel like Robert Pattison; but possibly better looking in a way, and not always stalking a plain chick around town who runs away with werewolves.
The supernatural status he was given, the creature he was.. Anger problems, almost to the extreme at times. Sudden muscles spasms, and ripples of flesh with vomiting through the night. It had happened again before Acheron had appeared; and Lelend was slightly thankful for that. He regretted Evelyn seeing him so weak, and crawling all over the floor. Begging and grasping onto her like a life line.. He still wondered what her problem was. "I just.. Shit happened between us. Something I couldn't stop, and she caught me off guard.. I was shocked, and couldn't help but simply ask 'why' and she kinda lost it.. She's been aggravated at me ever since, and has decided to leave My 'girlfriend'"- Lelend made air quotes around this, to emphasize - "Maria and I alone. Though, there wasn't a need in the first place. I'm so darn confused.." He said softly, his lids fluttering closed slightly as he adverted his gaze to the floor. Acheron had a way of looking at people, to the point where you felt him burn holes into you. Swallowing hard, he finally glanced at the male head-on. It wasn't as bad as he thought it to be.. Lelend could just be paranoid?
"Well, surely if you speak with her again, and work it out.. You'll be o-" Acheron started, but then came a yelp from the stairwell nearby. The soft thump of limbs hitting stairs registered in their ears, and within seconds both their gazes snapped there and they inched to the corner of the room silently. Both perching onto their own dryer, or washing machine. It was Maria.. Her voice was rich, and smooth; almost husk because of the tone she took on. One that Lelend never heard.. It made goose flesh prickle on his tanned skin, and shivers tenderly lick their way up his spine. What's up with Maria? Lelend asked himself mentally, but quickly brushed away the thought to listen in on their conversation. Acheron shot him a glance, looking like he may speak or break it up, but Lelend placed a finger to his lips.
And then, Evelyn talked about their plan to get at her. It shocked Lelend to the point where his hand quickly grasped his pounding heart. Evelyn was the one whom had started it! Didn't she realize the state Lelend was in, when she pecked him? Couldn't she see that faraway look, and understand why he'd inquired her actions..? Sighing, he shook his head gruffly. And then.. Maria blurted out his secret. Acheron's eyes widened, and Lelend felt his chest clench around his heart. he felt as if he'd either piss his pants, or just shrink away and die or disappear into mush.
Acheron shot him another questioning glance, his eyes still bulging. Lelend just shook his head, shrugged his shoulders and placed a finger to his lips again. And soon, the conversation was over. Driving the four into utter silence. "It's real funny you think I was picking on you Evelyn" Lelend finally called out, finding his voice in his urges to speak. He hopped of the washing machine and marched over to the stair well, peering into the slight darkness to see the flashes of Maria's eye color changing; something that almost scared him shitless. "You. Kissed. Me. And at that moment, as I've explained before.. I was looking upon my past. Something I shouldn't be bothered when doing; I understand that you wouldn't have known. But, you can't blame me for questioning your actions! It was so sudden, and now you believe that Maria and myself were beating on you? That's absurd.. Completely.. I'm hurt to be honest; but it's not like you'd actually care, what with avoiding me and all despite my efforts" Lelend ranted, almost turning it into a speech. Soon, his dark gaze was turned onto Maria, his jaw slack. "Thanks for blurting, but I don't think we'll find out anytime soon. Actually, I did. I'll talk to Eve later - if that's fine, since I won't be ever picking on you.." Lelend said gruffly, clearing his throat and pausing for a deep breath. Acheron stood speechless on the dryer. "And I'll be explaining later to Acheron; if he keeps his damned mouth shut" Lelend said, shooting an evil glare towards the new male.
Acheron just shook his head, eyes still bulging. Too much white showing.. "Good." Lelend said, smiling ruefully. "Maria.. Why must you scare the poor girl? You're so.. Hostile. You've practically scared me shitless; I've never seen you like this.." Lelend said, the words catching in whispers often.
"Now.. Who wants to sit down.. And talk in the basement?"
‘What you can do. What your power is? Unless you know what it is.’
The word continued to ring in the young Evelyn’s ears as she watched the few people that were still in the room disappear. Soon she was sitting that the large table by herself, as normal. The cliques had been decided long before she got here and now everyone was just playing a cruel sick joke on her – well they could all go to hell for all she cared. Pushing the chair out away from the table, Evelyn excused herself, though there was no one there to hear her say the words. Ambling towards the basement, the teen has already decided to stay clear of everyone in the house that day. Seeing that it was a weekend, there were no classes for her to go to and later, the only real thing that she needed to do was ask for a trade of rooms. There was no way that she was going to be staying in the room with Maria any longer – she would rather room with Lily than with her.
Bringing up a pair of those elegant fingers Evelyn swiped gingerly at her hair, pushing it back and out of her gaze. Though the teen did not have those hazel eyes set on any one thing in particular she seemed quite irritated by the bothersome presence of those wild locks. Either way it seemed she wasn’t going to stand for such an intrusion upon her view. Finally contented by the state of her hair she swung her head back to give full attention the stairs, taking the first several with slowness. No one would be down there at this hour, she would have time to see what that man was talking about. However, fingers gripped onto the back of her shirt as she was half way down the stairs, jerking her back so that her heels caught on the back of the last stair causing her to topple backwards, a yelp slipping out as her body collided with the stairs.
A growl almost escaped her as the brunette stumbled to push herself back up. “You’re taking this to fucking far Maria!” Evelyn snapped, turned to face her attacker head on. If Maria was going to push her, then she was going to latch onto her, taking the other girl down with her. Already, she could feel the effects of what the other had just done – the bruising on her arms from where she had gripped her and now pain shot through at various places from when she hit the stairs. “”I’ve left you and your fucking little boyfriend Lelend a lone too. One hand clasped onto the railing to steady herself as a dizzy spell hit her. “I get the whole ‘befriend the new kid and then attack’ thing. Really I do. Happens all the time at normal schools.” Another dizzy spell hit her and almost made her vision blur completely, but she bit her tongue to try and steady herself a little – until someone could take the other girl away from her presence. “But – as a heads up- I’m not the new kid anymore, so go buddy up to him. And then Lelend can go do whatever it is that you two do to the new guys.” ‘Cause I already know what you do to the new girls.’ She thought sourly, while her knees began to shake.
“I’m not worried about Lelend – personally wasn’t worried when you first got here. He always is a softy for the new kids, but he just doesn’t know how to deal with-” A slight pause as Maria’s eyes changed color and she eyed Evelyn. –unwanted attention like yourself. Evelyn opened her mouth to say something, but Maria took a step forward, making her take one backwards. “I’ll get to the new kid after you” Both females narrowed their eyes at one another, though for completely different reasons; Evelyn because it was a mere reaction to the others words, Maria because she was slowly analyzing what emotion the girl was giving off. “Just what the hell are you? Lelend’s a wolf – that was just plain easy to figure out, even an idiot could get that. The same as what Lily is and the others. You – You have no signs of anything. Even when you’re angered. At first I thought you to be another werewolf. But…” Maria trailed off, her eyes flashing the color that they had minutes before, making Evelyn back up another stair. She wasn’t going to get in close distance with this girl again – or even around her again. “..You show no signs of what you should be. If your case files are right.” Maria narrowed her eyes again, moving towards Evelyn, shoving at her chest until Evelyn’s grasp on the railing gave way and she stumbled down another three steps. “Again nothing. Most creatures would have reacted someway by now – but I’m getting nothing from you. So tell me, did they make a mistake? Or are you the mistake?”
“What the hell are you talking about?!” As much as Evelyn wanted to play the big bad girl just like Maria, her voice shook with fear and crackled a few times as she was threatened with tears. Lovely, she was going to be a pansy before she was murdered.
Not only did the brunette appear to be taken aback, and quite angry - the emotion seeming to rise - but Lelend seemed to follow in sync. His shock seemed to topple over, and tumble down his frame. His socked feet curled on the fully cleansed tiles his chair rested on. His orbs darted menacingly to Maria, who seemed wry in her choice but not prepared to take it back. You.. You.. You.. Lelend couldn't even begin to think of a word. It wasn't much anger; his stomach clenched at the thought of spending a large amount of time with Evelyn again. Ever since their mishap, after she'd kissed him.. It was like their relationship tore apart, and was scattered around the mental ward. Each piece, screaming in agony before slowly dying out, flickering to a stop like a tiny ember without a chance..
Not only was the minimal contents in his esophagus turning around ruefully, tripping over one another but his chest seemed to clench. His breathing becoming shallow, and Acheron's gaze directing slowly to him. It was obvious the new-male could sense his displeasure in the offer Maria handled off, and threw into the random conversation.
Actually, Acheron believe the male was convulsing in a way. It's obvious that he doesn't enjoy the presence of that female.. Why.. Acheron began to thought, but it was tender prob in his mind, which was quickly swatted away with yet another array of thoughts that came aboard.
But soon.. Lelend calmed, and his body heat began to decrease. Lily was muttering a simple word over and over, her tone full of utter content and her smirk one that was knowable to Lelend. What..? He began to inquire to himself, brows knitting, causing his forehead to wrinkle with the effort slightly before he flickered his gaze to the two females that had risen from their seat to collaborate near the sinks. They appeared almost heated, but Maria stayed more calm-looking than Evelyn. And soon, Evelyn was prepared to leave and Maria grabbed her arm roughly.. Something that came as a shock to the darkly-haired male, to the point where his eyes widened and the scene. Maria never did things such as that, even in their past lives at high school. She knew it wise to not get on the bad sides of others, since they beheld much more power than they gave themselves for.. Not everyone was confident, but everyone had a dark side.
Maria knew that well enough.
And yet, she clutched tightly onto Evelyn's pale arm, practically imprinting her fingers onto her flesh. The whole room lay quiet, and the nurses not being present at the moment couldn't stop what was occurring. And soon, Evelyn screeched - and seemed to beg - for Maria to stop, and for her to be out of what ever game himself and Maria were playing. A game..? Lelend thought, cocking his head to the side. The remark was only slight, simple, dripping with her slight anger and shock for all the happenings. And then.. Then came the most shocking thing. Though most people wouldn't have caught it, Lelend knew better. Maria's eyes shifted colors! Her voice darkened to another tone, one that he'd never heard the silent female use! It almost scared Lelend... Tossing his half eaten toast, and remnants of bacon into the open bin and practically throwing his dishes into the sink. Though the nurses returned and contained the two females back to their seats - and away from one another - Lelend easily slipped from the room. Smacking his closed fists against the wall, to just release some of the emotions that built up inside him. Drowning his whole... Just everything.
Swallowing hard, he felt his cheeks become aflame in a deep blush.. ..A game.. A game?! I'm playing a game?! What damn game... Dammit Evelyn! You're the one who started all this! Lelend began to become quite regretful that he'd taken the brunette under his wing in a way. Showing her around, talking her up.. Making her feel slightly more at home, at her new home.. Which in fact would never be a home. He'd fended off the piranha-like attitude of Pilly Lily, and stayed by her side like she had his when he'd had such spasms.. He couldn't forget that night. The memories flooded him every time he wanted to rest, or was alone. He appreciated Evelyn greatly, but yet couldn't forgive the bull crap he believed her to start. She wouldn't look at him straight, and when she did.. He couldn't even explain what seemed to swim within that gaze he enjoyed to see in their short moments together.
Sighing deeply, he felt a light hand place upon his shoulder. It was Acheron. He was rubbing Lelend's back lightly, attempting to comfort him. "I'm guessing you have some ill will with that female.. I'm.. All I can say is sorry. Really, man.. C'mon. Let's just go somewhere..." Acheron said softly, his voice slightly rasped from lack of fluids.
Lelend nodded meagerly, accepting the male in a time where he truly needed a person. "I agree.. Thanks.. I.. Follow me" Lelend choked out, wiping a hand of his face, and using his shirt to rub his eyes. He headed down the hallway with Acheron on his tail, who fondled that mask once more. Then, down the stairs he went.. Going into the basement area.
Evelyn had to turn her eyes back to her toast to avoid the eyes of almost everyone – and for once she was glad that Lelend was in the room to take the pressure of the eyes off of her. While she felt the new man’s eyes on her for a short time, it didn’t mean that two other females eyes weren’t on her; one pair belonging to Lily the others to Maria. ‘Ah, toast, we meet again.’ She whispered, getting Lily to remove her eyes though Maria’s stayed for another moment before following Lelend and Acheron’s action. Sighing, Evelyn put her half eaten toast back down on her plate while picking up her orange juice gingerly. For being a mental place, it was the best place for someone on a diet. Even if you wanted to gorge on something yummy, you would almost have to hunt your way around into one of the doctors or nurses offices before you found what you were looking for. While Evelyn was off in her won world, sipping on her orange juice when Maria’s voice pulled her back to the table.
“Perhaps Eve and I can join you two, Lelend?” If there was a casting call for the Exorcist movie, Evelyn would have gotten the part in that moment as her head slowly turned towards Maria, eyeing the girl as if she were weighting the options of taking her out. Maria giving her the same look, then turning towards the two boys, a smile plastered on her face.
“Sure, why not.” Evelyn said slowly, moving her gaze to Lily who seemed to be grinding her teeth. Lovely, she had just gotten the girl to stop putting hair dye in her shampoo and honey on her pillows. With this new stunt that Maria had unwillingly pulled her into, Eve could only picture what was going on inside the pilly blondes head. Most likely anything now. Maybe there wouldn’t be a tomorrow for her – though in all fairness, if the female was going to go after anyone, she would first start with Lelend or Maria since they had been there longer then she had. But of course, ever since she snatched that kiss from Lelend, she seemed to be public enemy number one. Oh the joys.
Maria cleared her throat as she removed herself from the table, taking her plate into the kitchen. It took Evelyn a moment before finding her own nerves. Chomping down on her lips, she excused herself from the table and followed the other girl into the kitchen, narrowing her eyes at her the moment that the two were alone. “What is your problem with me?” The words almost growled out of her throat towards the other as she pushed past the other, dumping her extra food into the trash can before dropping the plate into the sink in the same fashion that she had seen Maria do seconds before her.
“I don’t know what you are. That is the problem.” Slowly blinking at the girl, Evelyn tilted her head. Unsure if she should be running into the other room for the nurses, or trying to figure out if this girl was going to attack her or not.
“What do you mean by ‘what I am’ exactly?” Evelyn asked carefully.
“What you can do. What your power is? Unless you know what it is.”
(span style="color:#0d5488">“I think we should get back to the others, okay?” Glancing back into the kitchen, Evelyn felt herself become uneasy with this girl, unwilling to give any details of herself towards her. So instead, Eve only smiled and turned to walk back into the Dining room. “Wait!”) Maria reached out, gripping Evelyn by the arm and tried to jerk her back into the kitchen. But only managed to jerk her back into the wall since she was already half back into the room. A giggle slipped from Lily as another girl from the table whispered ‘fight’.
Wide eyed Evelyn looked back at the girl and pulled her arm away from her. “Seriously. Stop. I left you and Lelend alone – I played your weird little couple game that you two do- just. Stop!” Shoving her hands up in the air as she backed away from the other, Maria followed in step, almost pushing into Evelyn as her eyes shifted colors. “You have no idea what game I’m playing at with you.” The words echoed out into a silent room before the nurses busted in, ushering Evelyn back to her seat at the table and Maria into one of the back rooms.
"Of course.. It's clothing meterial I enjoy"
Acheron said, bowing his head to Evelyn. Those deep, suckle and golden-colored eyes seemed to adsorb every aspect of the brunette. The way her wisps of hair curled near her shoulders, and how much of it covered her shoulder line. It seemed quite natural, but in the way that everyone
wanted their hair curled like this female's. Her chin wasn't large, but was quite firm as her cheekbones were; which were high and almost stretched her pallid skin making it seemed quite even unlike most girl's skin.
She was quite remarkable in the eyes of Acheron, and in fact.. He felt slightly drawn to her. Reaching a hand up, with many thoughts roaming around in the landscape of his mind, he fiddled quietly with the mask still hanging from his neck. His adam's apple bobbed quietly with each strong swallow he took, taking in the crowd at the table that was munching quietly on a dull-looking breakfast. Eggs, that looked like plastic. Taking on different shapes and forms depicting the person's tastes. Bacon, that seemed a bit too
crisp, and inedible to the male. And finally, toast and rare packets of jam located on the table top. Which was made of wood; the heavy oak smell was musky and seemed to taint his nostrils. "But pleasure to meet you all nonetheless,"
Acheron said quietly, almost whispering the words under his breath. The blond female seemed to radiate slightly more than the rest with a fierceness that Acheron was afraid to conquer. "I'm guessing I just pick?"
He asked casually, his gaze slowly leaving the last female - which seemed extremely quiet compared to the others - and found Lelend. His back was to the curly-haired male, his broad shoulders bobbing with the motions his arms made.
Lelend was currently picking up a Styrofoam plate, a dissatisfied look coating his facial features. He picked one piece of toast, squashing a wad of strawberry jam onto the bread, spreading it with a plastic butter knife - bending it under the effort - and then grabbing a few pieces of bacon. Arranging the newly strawberry covered piece of toast to match the other, with the bacon on the side. "Hmm?"
Lelend inquired, looking over his shoulder at the male as his hands stopped tracing the mask."Nothing. Simply answered with your actions,"
Acheron said casually, speaking in such a formal matter that only seemed to come from Lelend. Heading over to the counter, he picked his own items. Eggs, one piece of bacon - just to be daring - and a piece of toast. He wasn't too hungry, since his stomach was still lurching uneasily was the events that occurred prior to this morning. Sitting himself near Lelend - someone else he felt okay
around - he began to eat quietly. Stabbing the eggs with a plastic fork, that looked more like a spork with it's circular shape."So, care to share, my daring friend? If I may inquire that is,"
Lelend said, sighing quietly under his breath. It was obvious Maria was stuck back into a quiet trance, and Evelyn wouldn't have a thing to do with him; she'd been avoiding him all week since the incident."As to why I'm here..? I think you'll uncover that soon enough Lelend,"
Acheron replied curtly, smiling coyly at the male and continuing to feed himself with eggs; which seemed to taste the best to him right now despite that actual lack of taste.
Lelend just nodded meagerly, picking apart a piece of toast and popping it into his mouth. Chewing quietly, his draw working eagerly to just finish it already!"Well, boring it is here. I don't have a problem showing you the 'round-a-bouts here."
Lelend said, swallowing the toast a little too hard and stifling a cough behind his palm. Taking a deep sip of his waster; something Acheron failed to think of getting when at the counter. Too late now though, since the male was just a bit too lazy to get up and get it."Sounds alright with me.."
Acheron said, nodding. His curls seeming to float with the motion. His voice seemed tinted with a slight accent.. One that was mixed with many cultures, to one that seemed incapable of understanding.
The week continued on as if she were in a normal school, that she lived in. Lelend and Maria stayed away from her and she in return stayed away from them. Of course, whenever she was asked a question she politely answered them. When the few moments that they were alone and there was some chance of conversation, Evelyn managed to wrangle her way out of the room, away from them. She even put in for extra chores. Which made the nurses happier – her doctors happy as well. Though she never went back outside, not towards the shed where she had seen the man. That would be the last time that she ever seen him, at least until she was actually just forced to go back outside. Still, it made her wonder want was down in the basement. Whenever she had a free second, she would look for the door that he was talking about. Granted that she never had a free second for long, because Maria would always come bursting into the room like she knew that the other was up too. It made Evelyn wish that Lelend and her would do more couple things and give her a moment to actually search for this door.
The breakfast was becoming Eve’s least favorite meal of the da, mainly because it was the same every day. She thought, at first, that they had the same breakfast every week and it would change the following, but nope, it went on with the same menu. Rolling her eyes at the selection of food, she sat quietly at the end of the table, nibbling on some toast while she took in the rest of the table. Maria – Who had taken to sitting by Lelends side like a proper girlfriend should, had stopped trying to sit with her after a few days of being ignored and moved away from. Lily sat with her friends which were next to the boy that continued to play his psp and another boy that seemed to be content reading his books. He was the one that Evelyn sat next to mainly to keep up the mask that she was trying to be social-ably as well as get a few minutes of reading in. The word of a new boy had already went through the house the following night, making Lily almost seem to bounce in her seat as she waited to see the newest victim. Unlike Lily, Evelyn wished she had a book to stick her nose in and avoid the whole situation completely. Upon finishing her piece of toast, Evelyn reached for another one, but stopped, letting her hand hover over the bread as she took in the new male as well as the new wave of attitude towards the morning food.
Lily sat with her mouth agape while her friend just seemed to blink at the new male. Book and psp just continued what they were doing while Maria seemed to be taking in the male with a new look – one that almost made Eve shudder, but she kept it to herself. Sighing silently to herself, Evelyn broke the silence of the table. “Nice turtle neck.” A relieved smile left her as she took her piece of toast deciding that the bread had enough torture with her hand just hovering there. By that time, Lily seemed to pull herself together enough to send a nice glare over towards Evelyn as if to say back off, this one is mine too.
‘By all means.’ Evelyn rolled her eyes as she reached for the jam, getting a small glob of it to smear over her prized toast. The small brunette had learned her lesson with the males in this place to know that this was shaky grounds and there was no way in hell that she would be making this one again. A small thought struck her as she looked back towards the new male and Lelend – everyone would be busy during this time. No one would notice if she snuck off to the basement to search for the door now. If Evelyn had a tail it would have been wagging at the thought of the new possibility. If everything worked out, she would know by the end of the day if she really was seeing dead people or if she was just plain jane crazy. Silently she hoped that it was the second one more then the first one, for her own safety.
