[left [pic https://imgur.com/OTTaEyb.jpg]] Sara rubbed her eyes as the bright, LED screen burned into her retinas. How long had she been staring at this screen for? Five hours? Six hours? Seven hours? However long it was, she needed a damn break. Luckily for her, Jakob and Trevor were making their way over, holding a camera pointed right at her face.
Jakob grabbed one of the swivel chairs from behind her and wheeled his way next to her desk. He propped his chin up on the palm of his hand with his elbow resting on the edge of her desk. She slide her headphones off and around her neck. "Can I help you, boys?" She asked, glancing between Jakob and Trevor.
"As a matter of fact, yes. Yes you can." Jakob started as he pulled her chair closer to his. "We are doing an interview for the end of the year. We just wanted to ask you some...questions. These can be questions we ask or from twitter!" For some reason, this felt like it was not going to be just 'simple and harmless' questions, especially if fans were asking them. Yet, she nodded. Agreeing to participate.
"Fantastic!" He made a look at the camera, nodding once they were rolling. He cleared his throat, ridiculously loudly. "What do you like about working at Cow Chop?"
"I like how when I come into work, I never know what is going to happen. If someone is going to get hurt, covered in unknown liquids or, get food poisoning because no one in this damn warehouse knows how to cook...besides Brett." She answered honestly, crossing her arms as Jakob pretending to be hurt.
"You've never tasted my food, thank you very much." He sassed and Sara rolled her eyes. "Anyway, if you were stranded on an island, who is the one member you'd want to be stranded with?"
She took a moment, folding her arms in her lap as she swiveled back and forth. "Hmm, probably Aleks."
Trevor and Jakob gave each other a glance, Trevor smirking for a quick second before it faded. "Why Aleks?"
"Aleks and I have grown pretty close since I've been here. He's my smoking buddy. I consider him one of my best friends."
"Annnnnd?" Jakob pushed and she rolled her eyes.
"And that's it. Nothing more. Nothing less. I'm done with this interview." She moved back to facing her desk, sliding her headphones over her head. She could faintly hear Trevor and Jakob trying to ask more questions but she turned the volume up on the video and continued editing.
It was true what she had said, Aleks was her best friend in the office. He reminded her of someone she use to date, which is why she'd never step foot on that kind of territory. As friends, it was easy to see past it. If they were something more, it'd become tainted by what happened in Florida. Their friendship would be over and she didn't want that.
