The man let them both into the room, taking the pizza box from her. When she explained what had happened, he did freeze. [b "Didn't deserve that..I'm sorry. But won't have to worry about that shit with me.."] He muttered as he moved to hold her.
“Never had someone who cares before cowboy...also not used to anyone taking care of me.” She said. In their room she held the new pizza as he used the key card to open the door. Their bags were already up here, in the room she sighed, “i ran away at 16 because when I was 14 my dad let his friends rape me.” She said looking down.
His hand gave hers a small squeeze when she took his. At least now he knew what she wanted. [b "We're on the same page then...and going to have to learn together.."] Jackson muttered softly.
Ally was shy and this kind of question scared her but she took his hand in hers, "I want this cowboy... just not used to having someone around so you'll have to be patient with me."
A faint chuckle did slip from him as she said pizza and pasta would be foods to count her in for. [b "Were what I was thinking...and we will. Nice to have late night snacks."] He said, blue gaze becoming locked with brown. [b "What did you want for us to be. I know what I want. But you gotta tell me what you do."]
She smiled, “If it’s pizza or pasta count me in cowboy..,but we might have to get one of these to take to our room.” She said blushing at that. She wasn’t used to having someone. “What are we cowboy?” She asked looking at only him.
Somehow he guessed he would have it wrong. But his guess was his way of asking and telling her that he did want to know. [b "Sounds good.."] jJack muttered, a hand slippping into hers. And soon, the pizza was brought and she seemed happy with it. [b "So you like it? Might like other places too."] He said with a smile.
"Sounds good cowboy but your wrong about my dad... I'll tell you tonight if you want to know, not something that should be talked about while we eat." She said and kissed his cheek. Soon the food came and Ally groaned, "That is the best cheese pizza I've ever tasted." She said smiling, "And I'm italian, I know pizza."
Well he had been able to piece that much together when she mentioned her mom but not her dad. And he had been curious but chose not to ask it. [b "Going to guess on that one...but haven't been close since you lost your mom? And now you take care of yourself... Take it from me...no one deserves to be alone. Maybe can work something out with Bobby and Gail...Think she was saying what a good job you did tonight and how she could use the help. That way we can still spend time together and I'm bot 'paying' for things...How does that sound?"] He asked, throwing it out there.
"No... I like being with you too much but I also don't want you to pay for me." She was used to being independent. "And before you ask about my dad... we don't talk."
Again he was silent to listen to her. [b "Yeah, sorry about that. My fault. If you could would you go back?"] He really was curious and liked listening to her talk. Liked to learn more about her too.
"I actually fell into it... Journalism awards in school... community college because its all I could afford really but actually couldn't afford it and had to quit... interned at my job and then got hired a year ago.. and fired today." She said sighing and taking a drink of her own beer.
[b "Nah, doesn't sound silly. Actually sounds amazing and like something would have loved to see."] He said quietly, noting how when she finished she tried to divert the conversation to something else. [b "They do. Been here multiple times. Another question. What got you into writing? Have any other hobbies you like?"] And this time he took a swig from the beer that had been ordered.
She blushed, "Its going to sound silly, my mom used to put me in rodeo pagents when I was little...she passed when I was 11 so... all that stopped." She said taking his hand under the table. "I heard this place has the best pizza in Las Vegas." Ally said trying to change the subject. Her mom was touchy.
It was funny for Bobby to be telling him the dating part. His brother knew that his style was rush into things and then find out what the hell happened after. Always had been why there was so much that needed cleaning up. [b "Can't make any promises. You know how I am, Bobby."]
Soon, they returned to the table and Jack took his seat beside Ally. And Bobby was explaining to Gail the talk that had been had. [b "Thanks, darlin'. And you did? Wanna tell me more about that?"] Easier to hear her talk about her than to talk about himself.
