Garnet turned to Raka and then back to Damon. "We'll get out and see what he wants first." he responded quietly as he slowly got out of the car and stepped in front of the car and waited for Raka to stand with him. As he promised.
Raka was a bit taken aback by the sudden lurch of the brakes, then saw Damon, and looked at Garnet, then at Damon, wondering if she would get out or not. She looked at Garnet, fear rushing through her. "what should we do?" she asked silently.
Garnet kept driving but paid much more attention to the side of the road. "I'm not sure, whatever it was it was moving fast.." he said as he pushed on the breaks as the car screeched to a stop. He stared the the windscreen as he saw Damon standing in the middle of the road. "I guess we would have to see him again..." he murmured softly.
She looked at him and out his window. "See what?" she asked, looking at him, a bit worried. She didn't know if he was having some side effect from the blood, or going back to what happened at the house. she tried to push the thoughts out, and just looked out his window.
Garnet smiled as he closed her door and walked around and climbed in the driver's side. He started up the car and began driving towards the airport. He was driving quickly and out of the corner of his eye he swore he saw something again. "Did you see that?" he asked Raka.
She thanked him as she sat in the car, and buckled up, thinking they could just run to the airport. It would have been a lot more entertaining, but she decided to let him choose what he wanted. She thought about how close the wedding was, and she smiled, pushing all thoughts of damon from her mind.
Garnet looked atthe house once more before closing the door and met Raka on the porch. We'll be back soon enough. He quietly said to himself as he and Raka walked towards the car. He opened the passenger side for Raka and held the door for her. He then gazed at the slowly brightening sky. We'll be in the air in an hour he thought to himself.
She smiled and looked back as well "hopefully, not long. I dont want to leave all our memories behind in this place." she said and turned out the door, and waited for Garnet on the porch step. "it'll be easier to make a clean break for now." she said and chuckled to herself, checking the time. They still had some time. They would make it to the plane on time.
Garnet smiled as the sensation crawled over his body as their hands met. They walked down the stairs and Garnet opened the door for Raka. "I wonder how long we'll be way from this place?" he said softly as he turned to look at the empty but very meaningful home with many good memories.
She smiled, "I think about half an hour." she said, estimating the time with the chance of traffic. She held his hand tightly, feeling waves of shock, instead of jolts. It was different though, not as intense, but smooth and mellow. She liked it like that, it made her feel excited, and have somewhat of an adrenaline rush.
Garnet smiled and chuckled as well. "Ok let's go. I'll get the car ready." he told her and kissed her lightly on jer lips feeling that amazing semsation that feels stronger and different every time so he could never get ready for it.
He held her hand and walked down the staircase with her. " how long do you think it will take to get to the airport?" he asked her as he took a few steps.
She chuckled. "if you insist. MY fiance." she felt a bit weird saying that, emphasizing the my, and looking at him, taking her hand back when he had let go. She smiled and looked in the room. "ok, I guess we can leave now." she said smiling, and turning towards him.
Garnet thought about it and then nodded side to side. "I'm ready to go too. Shall I carry your bag for you my fiance?" he asked her with a smile and kissed her free hand.
She smiled hearing him follow her. "I just wanted to pack a few items and clothes." she said and put everything in her suitcase, now ready to go. She put her hair up, and tightened it, putting three rubberbands on it to keep it in place and extra tight. She zipped up the bag, and turned towards him. "I'm all set. Was there anything else you wanted to do before we left?" she asked smiling.
Garnet's eyes widened as she told him this. "Wow, that's awesome love. Do you want any help packing? I've pretty much only got what I have on me." he told her and walked behind her up the stairs but at a step at a time. Garnet was going to miss this town. So many great memories but Garnet knew more great memories will come with the eternity he has with Raka.
