Looking to start an outlander based roleplay and looking for a Claire.
He nodded and watched her, “Any sign of trouble I’ll be with you.” Half an hour later something spooked the horse and being the horseman he is, he was able to calm the horse down but not before her bag fell to the ground spilling its contents.
"A carriage will take us close and I can enter," she said with a small smile.
The address was to a brothel. She could smell it from just out of the doors. Holding the sketch close to her. "This won't take long. I don't think so, anyway." Stepping out of the carriage she walked in with her head held high.
They were leaving after dinner so she left the bag with him.
Jamie sighed, “I will stay with the horse then?” He asked knowing her things were on the horse.
Eleanor handed her a card with the address with a knowing look. Ainsley took it with a small smile.
"You're still weakened, dear, you shouldn't push too hard." She brushed back a rogue curl and kissed him lightly.
Jamie sighed, "I wont send you in there alone... swore I'd protect you with my life."
Eleanor had hinted that answers laid in Edinburgh. Her stomach twisted at the hint. "Then he'll know we'll be arriving in Liverpool within a week or so. I want to see my history in a different light. Maybe I should just go with Eleanor alone- I don't have a good feeling about this."
Jamie followed, "When we get to Paris things will be different, I sent ahead a letter to Jared, he will be expecting us." He said holding her hand.
The miserable weather added to the misery. Seeing Edinburgh changed some of that the argument still settled wrong, or the thick porridge from breakfast. The narrow medieval cobble streets with some buildings wooden others stone amazed her.
She sketched happily even when reaching the small home that served as a bed and breakfast.
"Come along, poppet," Eleanor Whitaker said lightly.
Ainsley nodded and kissed Jamie's cheek.
Jamie had bathed and was clean and looked more like an Englishman now than a scot with his hair pulled back.
"Too much," Ainsley said with a sad smile.
She went out the door prepared to face Elizabeth and what she thought of the painting. Satisfied with Elizabeth's and Eleanor's approval over her work. The beginning of the only dream she had would begin at a cost.
“What do you know that I don’t.” Jamie said softly. “I will fight for you.”
"Has it occurred to any of you that this....may be over, anyway? Paris may save your life instead of dying on a field or in a prison?" She turned to him before she knew what came out of her mouth.
Jamie sighed, “I never said ye had to give up anything. I’m giving up my life here and my heritage to go to Paris with you sassensch and be a wine merchant.”
"Is there a bloody reason a woman cannot do what she loves and have a family? I will not be that woman," she bristled. "There may be but I will never give up my art and be a mother- fuck what anyone says."
The rare flare of temper from her mother's side. She started out of the room to double check on her work. She may be that artist she admired that defied society. She didn't know she left the secret compartment open.
Jamie sighed, “So that’s it sassenach? We’re not going to have a family?”
