Kara looked at Naruto as he spoke and smiled. "Thank you, nar... Lord hokage." She said as the rude elder blinked and went silent. The others listened and looked at Kara.
"Many of us trust her because of her father's decision.... But sometimes she's a little too quiet which just encourages behavior like my colleague's just now... Perhaps you could teach her how to speak up more." One of the kinder elders said with a smile.
Naruto's polite smile remained for a few seconds as he leaned forward in his chair.
"Kara has proven far more mature than any of you. A true leader doesn't insult the people they lead, and tries their best to help them be the best they can be," he retorted calmly. "Kara has my full support in this matter. You should support her as well, and believe in your leader."
She nodded to him and paused when one of them addressed him.
"Lord hokage, do you think it's a good idea for such an immature leader to be able to protect such powerful weapons on her own?" One of the older elders asked him.
That made Kara's blood boil and she clenched her fists angrily under her sleeves. She looked away trying to keep a semi neutral expression and ground her teeth from saying anything.
Naruto relaxed in his chair as he listened to Kara and the elders talking over the blueprints. He hummed softly as he watched, trying to keep himself busy until he was needed by one of them. He glanced at Kara after a moment and smiled a little. He took his phone out and checked a few things before he set it down. "Sorry, Shikamaru was asking about a few things we need to take care of within the next few days."
"oh no, it's plenty." She reassured her headpiece jingling as she shook her head and sighed. She watched as one of the elders unrolled a blue poster and listened to the elders talk about what the compound should look like and what it should have. She looked at Naruto and sighed wanting to just disappear for a few hours.
"Lady Kara, where should we put the vault for the masterpieces?" One of the elders asked and looked at her. She blinked slightly since it was first time one of them finally asked her a question. "Put it under the main house, the closer I am to it, the better it will be protected I think."
Ashina smiled at Midori and kissed her lips. When he pulled away, he had already pulled the string and smiled innocently at her. "We're Shinobi, Midori. A quick tug is easy." He tilted his head and teasingly added, "I mean, escaping from being tied up..." He shrugged.
Naruto rubbed his eyes a little sleepily. "It's fine, Kara. I figured I'd be called in," he assured her with a soft yawn. "What can I do to help? Was there enough land for your clan? I can try to get more if it's needed..."
She kissed him gently and set one of his hands on her hip. She smiled and said. "Well, then since we're alone..." She looked up at him and smiled wondering how he could surprise her.
Kara went to her meetings and got irritated when they involved Naruto. She sighed and looked at him apologetically. "Sorry, they want to discuss the blueprints for the construction and wanted your input since you are the hokage."
Ashina looked around slowly and when he saw nobody he returned his focus to Midori. "I've never seen anyone here this time of day," he explained with a shrug. "I doubt today would be any different...Hopefully." He kissed her lips gently and hugged her.
She blushed slightly and swam closer kissing him. She smiled and asked. "You sure no one will see us?" She watched him and traced his scars gently. She kissed the scar on his chest and looked at him.
Instead of answering with his words, Ashina began to wiggle his tongue at her to hint at what he wanted. He grinned at her then relaxed in the water, floating in place with ease.
Midori watched him swim away and asked. "Which one?" She watched him curiously and swam towards him a little bit.
Ashina kissed her lips gently as he hugged her. He enjoyed the cool water on his body and closed his eyes slowly. He opened them a moment later and grinned at her before he swam away from her. "Hey, Midori..." he began and looked at her with an amused look in his eyes. "Would you be mad if I accidentally pulled your bikini string?" he asked her innocently.
When Sasuke saw his daughter, he began to walk next to her. When they neared the forest he finally spoke. "You like reading, right?" he asked as he looked at her. "I found a few rare books during my travels. If you want, you can have them when we get back. There's one on the history of the village, how it came to be, and another book that holds the entire history of our clan...up until the massacre, of course." He looked ahead, though for once he didn't seem bothered or guilty. He was slowly letting himself let go of his past thanks to his family.
Midori smiled and tried to follow his movements under the water. She smiled and turned around kissing him softly. "Hi cutie." She said and smiled up at him.
Sarada smiled at the forehead and went to pack a bag of waters and a couple of other things they might need for the hike. She was excited and then went to go meet him outside.
Kara smiled at him nodding and blinked in surprise when he poked her forehead for the first time. "You Uchiha and the forehead poke." She teased and smiled. She finished eating and then got ready for her meetings.
Ashina removed his boxers and set them on top of his shirt. He then dived into the water and swam up next to Midori. He surfaced for air and kissed her cheek before he sank under the water once more. He didn't surface for awhile, but when he did he was behind her. "The water feels amazing, doesn't it?" he asked her, shaking the water from his red hair.
Sasuke mouthed a thank you to Kara before he turned to Sarada. "A hike sounds fun. We could go through the forest, if you'd like. Nothing will hurt you, I promise." He poked her forehead and stood. For once, he poked Kara's forehead as a way of thanking her and said, "Thanks for the help, Kara." He then stepped outside and waited for Sarada, in case there was anything she needed to grab before they left.
Midori blushed slightly and said. "You can." She kissed his cheek and got into the water turning to watch him curiously. She smiled at him and went a little deeper into the water waiting for him.
Sarada smiled up at him and saw his hesitation. She put a finger to her chin and thought about it.
"Why don't you two go for a hike?" Kara suggested and smiled. "My dad and I used to do that all the time and just talk about anything, no topic was off limits." She said and took a bite of her toast.
Sarada looked at her and listened. She smiled and said. "That sounds fun actually."
