"Of course sir." Mika turned on his heel, annoyed that all he cared about was the star charts. [I This will definitely break her heart. If I know Eliza, she isn't going to want to work on her charts for a while.] He went about ordering the men to stop the search and set sail for home. They were exhausted but wouldn't be able to fully rest until they were safely docked.
"She's not dead," Robin answered as she stepped out of sick bay and looked at Luffy. "Let's leave them be. You can talk to her when she wakes up but for now Chopper is trying to do his job."
"Let me out," Eliza shouted as she banged on the observatory door, "Let me out!" After hearing knews if Amy, she tried to escape, not wanting to be locked up in the base anymore. Her punishment was to be shoved back in the room lined with sea prism.
"The captain will hear if your escape attempt and will deal with you accordingly," the marine on the other side of the door replied.
[I Mika, please come back and let me out.]
Blake raised an eyebrow. "I don't care what you tell her. As long as it doesn't distract her from making her charts. You're free to go lieutenant. I have business to attend to."
Luffy was trying to see inside the sick bay in which Nami had to hold him back.
"Luffy let Chopper do his job!"
"So is She dead? She's really pale."
Once Mika left Blake picked up the picture again and frowned before tossing it into the trash. "So you'll haunt me in my dreams now won't you Amelia... Knowing that you were right and I was wrong again... Except this time, you paid for your righteousness with your life instead of a burn."
"And what should I tell Eliza sir? She was fond of your wife." Mika didn't want to be the one to tell the blonde woman of Amelia's death but he doubted that Blake would even willingly do it. After all, Eliza was just property to him, having been sold to the Marines.
"Yes," Robin nodded and headed off to the kitchen to get some water. Though she heard the crew discussing your mysterious woman, she said nothing. Upon her return, she noticed the faint outline of a scar on the woman's bust, just barely hidden by her shirt. [I Strange.]
Blake's skin has grown slightly paler over the last few days. His eyes bloodshot from staying up long nights in hopes of hearing news about Amelia. He heard the door open and saw his lieutenant. "She tried to tell me she didn't want to go... I killed my wife..." He looked down and at the picture on his desk that was of Amy. He sighed softly before picking up the picture frame and placing it face down on his desk. "Call off the search... I'll need someone to inform the paper that she needs to be in the obituaries." He glanced out the window and frowned. "And... I want lock down on all pirates. Anyone who has been harboring pirates is just as guilty as the pirates themselves and deserve jail time if not death." His eyes grew cold as he looked at Mika. "I will eradicate any and all pirates from this earth."
Chopper brought the woman down to the sick bay and began running tests. "Robin can you bring me water? She's extremely dehydrated. She's likely to have been out there for a few days."
Eliza sat in the observatory, chained to the desk as she scratched away a new Star chart. This had been her existence for the last six years. The only time she wants able to roam free was in the company of a marine. More specifically, Captain Blake or his lieutenant, Mika. Where was Mika? It was almost time for their scheduled walk and the cuff around her ankle was starting to chafe.
"Eliza," the familiar make voice called, "Sorry I'm late."
"It's okay." She raised a brow at the basket in hand, "What's that for?"
"I figured you'd want to go in a picnic." Mika knelt down and unchained the blonde woman, frowning at the mark on her ankle. "You've been moving around a lot." When he noticed the crumpled pile of papers next to the desk he realized why and chuckled. "Luckily for you, I brought bandages."
"What's the occasion?" Eliza set her pencil down and watched as smile carefully tended to get ankle, skillfully hiding the wound. The hardened look on his face told all. "You're going away again, aren't you?"
"It's only for a few days. I'll be back before you know it."
"They won't let me out of here while you're gone."
"I already asked if Miss Amelia would be able to walk around with you while it was gone."
"And?" She loved spending time with Amy, it was nice to be in the company of another woman. And with the fact that she was a captain's wife, the Marine escort left little room for question. "Mika?"
Mika took Eliza's hand and led her out of the observatory and off the base. "He said no." He felt her grip tighten and he knew that meant she was upset. "You'll still be able to roam around the base though. Captain Blake did give permission on that." They continued their walk to a grassy field and he went about setting up the picnic.
"But I can't leave."
"Captain," Mika shouted as he directed me to to get Blake back on the ship. He ordered several other men to begin the search while he did his job at talking sense into Blake. "We'll find her. I've ordered men to search the area she fell into. With any luck she'll be back safe in no time." He would soon come to regret those words in the following days.
There had been no sign of Amelia, even after they widened their search. It had been days, and there was talk she had either become fish food or sunk to the sea floor. By now Mika was ready to call off the search but needed to clear it by Blake first. "Sir, there is still no sign of Amelia. We've exhausted the crew and are low on supplies. I think it's time to call off the search."
"Did you hear," a marine whispered to another, "The Captain's wife went overboard and is missing."
"You're kidding? He's got to be out of his mind trying to find her," the other marine replied.
Eliza tensed at the news, [I She's missing?]
"Floating?" Nami got up to see what Luffy was talking about, narrowing her eyes in an attempt to see better. "Usopp, what do you see?"
Usopp stood next to Nami and flipped down how goggles, "Yeah, that's definitely a person alright."
"Go get them!"
While Nami and Usopp argued over whether or not he should go get the body, Luffy shot an arm out and managed to grab the person's clothes. "Got it," he beamed as he drew them in and more or less droooed the body on Deck. "That's not food."
"No," Chopper replied, "it's a person. Help me get her below deck to sick bay."
"You're leaving again?" Amelia asked sadly as she twisted a towel in her hands. "It wasn't that long ago that they sent you on a mission..." She murmured softly.
Blake sighed as he took the towel out of his wife's hands and then held her hands in his own. "Yes, I do have to go again. But we don't have to be apart this time Amy... Come with me."
Amelia's eyes widened as she gently took her hands away. "Blake have you gone crazy? I would be dead weight out there! I can't fight... If a battle were to break out I would be putting everyones life at risk because I would just be in the way..."
Blake took her hands back in his once again and smiled softly. "Amy, do you know how hard it is for me to go out on missions like this without you? I constantly wonder if when I get home you won't be there... I'd feel much more relieved if you were with me where I can see and protect you."
Amelia sighed as she turned to the sink and started to do the dishes. "Blake, I can't risk your life or your soldiers' lives like that... I would never forgive myself if something happened."
Blake frowned. "And I'd never forgive myself if something were to happen to you. Please Amy." He wrapped his arms around his wife and gently kissed her neck.
Amelia giggled softly as she tried to wiggle away. "Blake, stop. I'm serious!"
Blake chuckled. "And so am I."
"You really won't let this go until I say yes will you."
Blake shrugged. "You could be saying no as I carry you onto the ship."
Amelia rolled her eyes and sighed. "Fine, fine. I'll go." She gasped as she felt herself getting lifted into the air. "Blake! Put me down I'm holding a knife!"
Blake laughed. "Sorry sorry. I'm just so glad you said yes!"
A few weeks had passed since the ships left the docks heading to another base island. Amelia was looking out at the sea and smiling softly. "I'll never get tired of this view."
She felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist and she gasped. But when she saw it was Blake she smiled. "You need to stop sneaking up on me like that... If I was taller I could kick you in the crotch then how would we have kids?"
Blake flinched at the thought then chuckled. "Sorry, love... You're just so cute when you're startled."
Amelia shook her head. "Man you sure do like to bully your wife..." She felt Blake begin nuzzling her neck through her hair and she chuckled softly until she heard a feint sound coming from in front of her. She glanced up and narrowed her eyes. When she realized what it was her eyes widened. "C-CANNON FIRE!"
Blake's eyes shot open as he pushed his wife away from the railing. "Get to my quarters NOW!" He barked at her before barking more orders at his men.
Amelia flinched but nodded as she ran towards the Captain's quarters but then she heard the same familiar sound followed by two direct hits onto the ships deck causing her to fall over the railing. "BLAKE!" She screamed before she felt the cold engulf around her.
Blake had turned when he heard his name only to see a tuft of black hair over the railing of the ship. "AMELIA!" He ran over to the railing and looked down into the water. The water may as well been ink with how dark it was. Frantically he tried to look for any sign of her but inevitably dove into the water frantically swimming around trying to find her. "Amelia! Amelia! AMELIA WHERE ARE YOU?!"
Nami grinned as she threw down her cards. "Heh, pay up!"
Usopp groaned as he put money down on the table. "Nami, that's not fair... that's the seventh time this morning..."
"You're the idiot who keeps challenging me."
Sanji walked over to the table and handed Nami a cold fruit drink to cool her down on such a hot morning. "Here you are, Nami. A sweet drink for a sweet lady."
Nami chuckled. "Thank you Sanji."
"Luffy! Have you caught anything yet?!"
Luffy frowned. "No, and Sanji I'm hot... GET ME SOME COLD MEAT!"
Sanji sighed. "Luffy, I'm not feeding you cold meat..."
Luffy pouted but then saw something in the distance. "Hmm... hey guys... Do you think it's a little far for someone to be swimming out here?"
Sanji raised his eyebrow curiously. "Luffy what are you talking about."
Luffy pointed out to the sea. "Someones floating out there."
