Madison followed after Elijah, though she was actually considering just running away. Any appetite she had was gone and now she just looked to Elijah.
"So...you're a vampire...which means he is, right?" Madison asked gulping as she looked to him. Fear was understandable at least she thought so at least.
Stefan placed both hands on her shoulder before moving her to the side.
"It's completely true, it always has been from the very beginning," Stefan sighed before smiling to her. "I know, this is a terrible way to find out. I mean...It's not the worse way but it's pretty bad."
He didn't know what else to say, considering he didn't have incidents like this often.
Teagan was finally able to pull her gaze from those who were dead and dark gaze had fallen on Stefan, Elijah, and Damon before the man had whined and flashed off. This was like some horror nightmare but the sad part was she knew they weren't dreaming.
[#be5cf5 "So...this would mean the town legends and stories...they were..all true...?"] The girl asked, her bottom lip between her teeth as she once more looked to the dead before them.
"Do NOT make this any harder or more messy than it needs to be. You were here before either of us and so you know all who did see." Elijah muttered after Stefan had given the job of hunting down those who saw to Damon. Even the Original thought it best for him and Stefan to deal with the girls.
"I'll explain to Madison and you can her friend. It would be easier." Elijah said as he moved to Madison in a human speed as if the flashing had never happened. Slowly he led the girl to a nearby bench and began to explain.
Was this actually happening? Madison stared wondering if there was a prank but those people looked really dead.
"This isn't a joke, is it?" Madison asked stepping to the bodies. Horrified knowing that looked real, and one of them was her regular gossiper in her section. Dead. "Oh, poor Mrs. Bryant..."
She looked to Elijah confused.
"What's going on? She asked again as Stefan stepped forward. "Damon, please go and get those who saw. Don't scare them too much. This might be more delicate than you can handle."
"I never get to do the fun parts," Damon said before flashing off.
The veins by the eyes and the hungry looks had the girl freeze in horror. She knew what she had read, but those had been the old town legends and history. There was no way it was...But as that thought was making it's way into her head there was a quick flash passed her and Madison. And with it came the snapping of necks and Damon's voice, whining.
Another flash behind them and a man in a suit had snapped two other necks and moved to Damon as he was fixing his cuffs. His dark gaze went to the two girls and he offered a faint nod of his head.
"It appears that word has gotten out. They certaintly do have the numbers but we have the advantage in age." Elijah said to the Salvatores. He then let his gaze fall on the two girls again.
"Well since they have seen this and they are involved I think they have the right to know. Don't you?"
"Oh, and Damon, be good nothing outrageous," Stefan sad before leading her aside and sat down. There was still the rest of the people enjoying the food and entertainment. "That is difficult to explain. Vampires basically but I won't hurt you. Do you want me to have you forget?"
It was difficult to explain and then he was not sure what to say from there. It was not often that it was this obvious and he had to explain.
Madison looked to him and back to the people. They weren't moving yet and looked quite dead. SHe only grasped a little of it before piecing it together.
"I don't want a membership," she said shaking her head.
"I guess I need to chase down those people and tell them all that this is. What's in the Mystic Falls handbook, Stefan?" Damon asked wiping his hand off on his jacket.
"Gas leak," Stefan answered looking to the girls he gave a sigh. "I'll take care of Teagan."
This probably was for a reason, even he knew to have someone who knew and even Madison. Damon was thinking on that, it seemed, too. Too bad Klaus was here.
"This is a really bad joke, right? Like one of those college camera pranks?" Madison asked looking at the bodies and them puzzled.
It took a day for her to say yes, she did though, feeling as if she really really wanted to. And the dress was probably the most expensive, beautiful thing she'd ever wear.
She had fun the whole day with the kids and games. It was extremely hot to be wearing that thick costume but seeing the kids have fun made it worth it.
Madison froze in confusion, her first thought had been that this was a joke.
"Um...run?" She said not understanding the veins by the eyes.
There was a flash and snaping of necks and one there was even a heart.
"I was just getting a good drunk on...seriously..." Damon complained. "They keep coming in."
The next couple of days were even crazy than the last week had been. So much to do and so many meetings in trying to make sure it was all perfect and the way Mrs.Lockwood expected it to go. Annoying really, but it wasn't like they had much choice as the woman always got what she wanted.
[#be5cf5 "I can't wait to get out of these costumes. I mean I love dressing up as much as the next person but god...at least we can change and go to the party next, ri--.."] But her words were cut short by a small crowd racing towards her and Madi. It looked like they were trying to get away from something.
She probably knew better. But her curiosity had spiked and instead of running away like a normal person would have, Teagan began to push her way through to where they had been running from, freezing at seeing a couple bodies bloodied and on the ground and a couple of men and women soaked with blood. And as soon as the involuntary scream slipped the girl's lips all heads snapped up and an animalistic look to their eyes.
"Seriously? Do I need to remind you about what you did for senior prom? I don't think those guys will. Stefan seems pretty cool, he should be okay, I mean it might be a little awkward," she said running a hand over the painting. Wiping a single tear of joy from the corner of her eye she smiled.
"That's a joke, right?" She asked before smiling lightly. "I told him this in the art museum, and he remembered. God...that's amazing,,,..."
She said before going to the other box and opening it to find an amazing dress. "Oh Jesus...He's...what do I say?"
[#be5cf5 "I think my having the night with Damon hurt him somehow.. but he was really cool about it..which in its way I think hurt more. So..maybe staying away from both brothers is the answer."] Tea was actually being serious for once when she spoke her words.
With the smirk that Madi gave, the girl's head tilted. It seemed that she had been taken with her "Brit". [#be5cf5 "Oh god! That is so awkward! Buuut was the brother at least cute? Did you try and flirt?"] The girl asked as she was getting back to her "normal" self.
Brown eyes then went to the bigger package that was opened and she could not help her jaw dropping. The painting was just beautiful. And SO much like things she had heard the other girl talk about. How??
"Why not? So you had a night with Damon. If he wanted something more he would have asked you to this event. Who knows about Stefan but he seems nice," she looked to her with a smirk. Despite it being a few days she wanted to see him again, even without the dreams.
Looking to the wrapping and her name written. "Not so secret, it's Klaus. I met his brother, by the way. In only a blanket around me."
Opening the heavier one she gasped at the panting. It was exactly like her memory. "Oh my God...this is....amazing."
Since the day at the boarding house, Teagan had actually done her best in trying to avoid the brothers. She was trying to for better or worse "get a grip" and "sort out her head". Because she knew she was drawn to both Stefan and Damon but in very different ways. The time away actually did better for her than expected because she had costuming and became crazy busy with that and even helped her mother with her book clubs and everything.
[#be5cf5 "It's no problem. Kind of needed the distraction and time away from mom and Mrs.Lockwood...all of them are trying to turn me into a 'proper' lady."] She said with a laugh as she had one of the boxes of props and cringed at hearing the question of the brothers.
[#be5cf5 "Actually no...but maybe that's better. Buuuut it looks like you have an admirer."] The girl said as she moved into the appartment behind the other and closed the door, putting the box on the table.
It was a strange breakfast with the brothers. They seemed to want to kill each other. Once Elijah it was strange to just be alone with him, but it really did end with going back to bed once more.
The week was stupid stressful. With the extra hours at the grill, then the time planning for the event. It was a good time to think about Klaus.
"Thanks for helping me take all these props to my apartment, Tea," she said carrying the large box to her apartment. "So, has either brother asked you for the--"
Nearly tripping over the items in front of her door she placed the boxes down to pull out her keys. There were two neat boxes address to her in front of the door. Adding them to the her existing box and opened the door for them.
There was still desire and need on his end but he could better cobtrol it now. Or rather he had to as he knew Damon's compulsion had worn off. But there was no denying that her kiss was amazing or that last night had been. It would definitely be something he would remember for awhile.
[b "The kitchen is down the hall on the left when leaving the ball room. I can take you there. And I am sure Elijah would be up to cooking. It always has been a talent of his."] The man said, knowing that now Elijah was here he would be lucky to get time alone with Madison.
And it was after his spoken words did Klaus move forwards and gesture for her to follow. He had learned the leading by the hand bit was not something she cared for.
Teagan looked back and forth between the two brothers and then down at the floor. She had no idea what she was even thinking. And she had no idea how or why Stefan's words seemed to sting her so much.
[#be5cf5 "I...no he's not...I don't even know that I really want to go. But I can't get out of it either..."] But that was all she said as she moved away. God she couldn't wait to go home..or at least talk to Madi. She was royally screwed
Where was that need now? Last night it was all she could feel. This morning, it simply wasn't there.
And here she was in his shirt, hair still showing signs of a busy night, and casually kissing him. Why? Well, it had been a good time, amazing really.
"Here is fine. I'm not really a cook, though," she said self consciously moving the shirt past her shorts more. "I'm not fully sure where the kitchen is at, either."
"There's no need to explain, I understand. It wasn't as if we had anything going on," Stefan waved it off, even if it did sting. It was not uncommon for Damon to do this to sting him. It did seem that Damon in his own way had made room for him to find Elijah.
"I was going to ask you to be my date for next week, but I assume that Damon already asked you considering how close you two are now," he said closing his book.
