[font "Times New Roman" [center The night is cold. The town is dead -- and so are you.]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center Death is commonly referred to as the end. Perhaps, the final pages to a book. Loved ones mourn and friends bring flowers to the memorial party. The body of the deceased is buried or interred to whither away in the final resting place. As the wave of sorrow slinks back to an endless ocean, it is final. The bonds have been broken; people move on.]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center But what if death was only just the beginning? What if life is some stand alone novel with chronicles of epilogues? Broken bonds are just strings waiting for a new knot to tie, open hands fondling around for someone else to hold; a fall of trust, completely unsure if there is anyone to catch you. ]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center And death truly does bind. Binds your fate, your story. Every individual has a past, a family, a life that has been locked away and shoved in the ground that all adds up to absolutely zero. A person's demise cares not of any accomplishments made. No matter how pretty, or rich, or famous they are, a singular face of expiration will view them for what they really were.]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center To simplify death personified, no one ever stops existing. Energy moves, some say; the soul is released. The dispute of where the soul goes is a question that has been pondered by religions for thousands of years. The universe, some could say, decides where the spirit will reside for the remainder of it's story, a process of waiting until all of the energy, every single atom is ripped away and given to something better -- something bigger than life. Some places are far more comfortable to wait for an inevitable disappearance to occur; Heaven. Others -- not exactly.]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center But there's a catch.]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center As said before, death doesn't care who you were in your very physical form. Maybe, that was just conditioning for the twisted test some ethereal being wants to expose you to. Limbo. Abeyance.]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center Honestly, the process is nothing personal. How could it be? This state of in between is nothing more than a system of filtration. Sure, people can change, and that's the precise reason that this abeyance exists; a last minute change of heart could save someone from letting the last light of their existence flitter to darkness in hell.]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center So the question arises. Where will you find yourself?]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center Alright. Let's do this thing.]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center I want to bring in six other talented individuals to really bring this roleplay to [i life]. Our characters will wake up in an abandoned city, just bordering a seemingly endless sea of sand. Some might know they're dead, some might not. Each individual of this story is required to be unique and varying.]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center The characters will have multiple different tasks to face to place themselves in one of two endings. Decisions and actions each of the characters make will balance them between the two worlds; kind and compassionate to one side of the scale, harsh and pessimistic on the other. I [i do not] expect all of the characters to reach specifically one side or the other and would like to warn that the longer characters stay passive and in between the two sides of the scale, the more damaged their psyche will become. Staying suspended in abeyance is not comfortable for any mind, and as days roll forward, anxiety and tension will build in the group; tasks will become significantly harder. Do with this information what you will.]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center I would prefer everyone only take one character . If there are still open spots after everyone has been waiting for a day or two, I will allow those who want two characters to take a double. The only reason I like single character casting is for diverse writing styles and multiple perspectives of the wasteland the individuals in this thread will be living in. I would also like to [i emphasize] the fact that not every character arising in the dunes will be from the same time period on earth. Be creative with what era you're from, but only write to the era you feel you can portray most honestly.]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center Thank you for sitting through that. Moving on.]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center ----{(||)}----{(||)}----{(||)}----]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center Looks: [i Link a photo of your character. Semi-realistic illustrations, please. I will review.]]]
[font "Times New Roman" [center Sounds: [i Tell me what your character sounds like when they talk. I'd like this one in detail .]]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center Adorations: [i Tell me what your character loves. These carry over, too.]]]
[font "Times New Roman" [center Prior: [i Tell me what your character did before they died. Occupation, spouses, and schooling might influence behaviours.]]]
[font "Times New Roman" [center Incident: [i Tell me how your character died. Was it traumatic? Peaceful? I would like this one in detail as well -- as clearly as your character can recall, that is.]]]
[font "Times New Roman" [center Starting: [i Tell me the sway of your character. Fill out as [b Kind/Passive/Harsh].]]
[font "Times New Roman" [center Ending: [i Tell me nothing. Leave this blank, and I will fill it out when your character leaves the state of abeyance; in other words, how your final destination is revealed.]]]

[font "Times New Roman" [center If you are interested in this thread, please PM me to make sure there is a spot available. Once assured, please send another private message entitled [i Waking in the Wasteland.] with your character skeleton inside. I look forward to working with anyone interested and hope to hear from you soon.]]]
