She smiled and ordered one as well. “I hope that you can get some more customers soon...but I bet it has something to do with...” she started, and she looked at the crown, tearing up a bit because of he pain of thinking about it
Marie bought one of the signature 'Seanwiches' that were available, laying a few coins on top of the counter for Sean before taking a nice and crunchy bite out of the Seanwich. "Well, I'm sure things will improve soon...after all, nobody can resist your food for too long. It's just so tasty." The gray-haired Inkling smiled awkwardly but reassuringly.
Callie held the crown in her hand and payed for a hot dog, since she was extremely hungry, and she didn’t want any anything else to eat at the time being. “So how has business been Sean?” She asked, hoping that he’s been having a decent time with his business “it’s been alright, I haven’t had any business for a few hours...”
"Hey Sean, it's nice to see you still have your business up and running despite what's happened recently." Marie said as she smiled gently, and pulled out a few coins from her pockets to pay for any food she'd buy.
When they got to the food truck, Sean was getting the food ready for the day, and he looked up and saw the two Squid Sisters. “Hi Callie, hey Marie!” He said, but he noticed they weren’t all upbeat as usual
Marie simply nodded slowly, and didn't say anything to her cousin for a few moments. "Let's...get going, I guess." The gray-haired Inkling said, going silent again and heading outside with Callie, leading her to the main square where Crusty Sean's was located at.
She smiled a bit, and hugged her cousin gently again. “I’d...I’d like that a lot...” she said, and she asked if she could wear Pearlie’s crown to remember the good times. “I really want something to remember her by...” she said with a slight smile
The gray-haired Inkling soon sighed and stood up, helping her cousin to a standing position as well before they looked towards each other. "We could...go grab a bite from Crusty Sean's place in the square, if he's there...or maybe we could go to Jel's?" She asked gently.
They soon stopped filming the live video and they continued to cry into each other’s shoulders heavily and she sighed as she finished crying and she sniffled after she got up. “Come on...let’s go to get something to eat...” she said sadly
Marie had soon started singing along with Callie, letting tears silently trickle down her face. The ambiance of each note they hit with their voices and the power it held within was strong, as was the emotion behind it all as well. The gray-haired Inkling tightly hugged the other female once the song ended, patting her back slowly and gently as she actually sobbed a little bit as well. "And...that's how you make us feel, Inkopolis..." She said gently, but loud enough for anyone watching the live feed to hear.
She smiled sadly and she started to sing, the lyrics making her cry a bit more as she sang again. After a while she couldn’t take much and she burst into tears after the song ended, hugging Marie tightly
Marie nodded slowly, sighing afterwards when she heard her cousin speaking to everyone watching their live feed. "Yeah...but we do have a new song for you guys today...so we thought singing it live would be the best idea..." She said gently, wanting to add many rude remarks, but knowing she needed to hold back.
She sighed and put two stools down as they got ready, and she turned on the camera. “We’re on.” She said sadly, then she headed over to the boom and sat down on her stool as she began to speak to their fans. “Hey everyone...” she said, tears rolling down her face. “If you’re wondering why we aren’t wearing our normal outfits is because we’re not able to get motivated enough to do that...” she said
"Yeah...that one should be good." Marie replied, still contemplating everything that had happened to her friends who had left Inkopolis, most likely to never come back. A couple tears trickled down her face again as she got into position for the recording to start once Callie would finish setting it up.
She helped her cousin get ready to start recording their new song, and she smiled sadly again. “Is this one okay?” She asked, holding up a boom for recording their song, and she put it in place as she got everything else ready
