When the samurai returned home, he took off his armor and soon went to sleep, his bed more comfortable than he remembered, and he soon was asleep, waking up at the later hours of dawn, so he quickly put on his armor and grabbed his weapon, and put the brush upon his back, and hurried to the female’s house, and in a few hours, he had arrived. But when he looked inside, he saw that Shurui was still asleep, but he decided to meditate by the cherry trees, where he would be more at peace with himself.
The Inkling had said her goodbyes as well, before sighing and sitting down in the middle of her house. It had already gotten pretty late, so Shurui drank some tea before laying down on her bed. Soon enough, she had fallen asleep, not dreaming of anything in particular, but getting some peaceful rest for the morning. In fact, she had gotten so comfortable that she slept in for quite a while longer than she normally would.
He smiled and promised he would return to her tomorrow, after dawn rose in the sky. “Once the sun begins to rise, I shall return, and no earlier than that.” He stated, and he left with a lengthy farewell, and he sighed a bit sadly as he left, not wanting to leave, but he had to
The female kindly listened to the Octoling samurai's words when he had spoken. "Thank you for the offer. I have already translated a majority of the texts in my spare time, but would really appreciate your help with the last few articles I have not cracked yet." She stated, before sighing solemnly when he said he would have to leave.
He nodded, a pleasant look on his face. “If I may...” he said, looking towards the scrolls. “If you wish, I could translate these for you later...” he said, and he told her that he should return to his home, as to not arouse suspicions from his fellow octolings
"I would be delighted to show you the Bamboozler in action at some point, Sasuke." Shurui replied to what he had said, chuckling a little bit as she thought about all of the different times she had used the weapon in awesome ways. Once the samurai had spoken again, the Inkling smiled and looked up towards him. "Same to you. I enjoy your company." She said.
“Maybe you could show me at some point if the other octolings try to cause trouble...” he said, smiling gently at the inkling, enjoying the female’s company more than that of his own kind. “I am glad to have crossed paths with you.” He said politely.
The female listened to Sasuke, nodding yet again. "I have been training with the Bamboozler for years. I have learned a lot about it, and would call myself a professional with the weapon. However, I also know that there is a lot of undiscovered potential with it. With the correct modifications, the Bamboozler could become even better than it is now, and dominate the field." She told him, grinning as she looked over the ink gun.
He nodded. “I believe you are quite skilled with the weapon yourself?” He asked curiously, only wanting to make sure she was able to take on any enemies that she would be up against if necessary. “It seems like a powerful weapon, and it is quite deceptive in its looks, as it appears to be a cane.”
Shurui chuckled and nodded slowly. "Yes, it is hand pumped. However, do not let this old technique fool you. The Bamboozler is a very unique weapon that can change the tide of a battle if used in an effective way. It all depends on the experience and skill of the user." The Inkling explained with a smile.
He examined the weapon carefully. “It looks like it is a hand pumped weapon...” he said, not knowing if he was correct or not. “Is it?” He asked, sitting down on the floor near the table, resting his body for the time being.
The female nodded in understanding towards Sasuke's words, before reaching up and carefully taking the weapon off of the wall. "Funnily enough, this thing is called a Bamboozler. It's a charging weapon that charges quickly, has decent but not long range, and isn't too powerful, but is made up for by its sheer speed. I personally think it's a great weapon if you learn how to use it effectively." Shurui described, lifting the weapon up a little bit so the samurai could see.
He looked at the weapon. “That seems familiar...” he said, and he smiled at her, knowing she had been in a noble family that cared for her and her predecessors. “Your family is quite interesting to see in terms of history...but if I had encountered them, I don’t know if I would be here or not.” He said, and he carefully set the scroll on the table nearby.
"These have been passed down through my family over the years...along with an original model of a weapon that was remade somewhat recently, but was initially made at the beginning of the war." Shurui explained, pointing to a greenish weapon hanging on the wall that was made from bamboo.
He smiled “it looks as though some of this text is pre-war...” he said, picking up a sunken scroll, and he remembered seeing one like it. “Where did you find all of these?” He asked, quite curious about the origins of the papers and scrolls. “These are truly ancient artifacts from the war and before the war...” he explained, amazed at the fact that the paper was still in fairly good condition.
