“People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life."
"A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave."
i "A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master...”)
That was true.
Ryan was Victoria's soul-mate and yes, Ryan revealed another layer of herself that was showing Victoria was love was, not sappy and puppy love but the real deal love, love that would be written into books to come about the two of them.
"I've not done anything since...I understand completely..."
"You haven't? Arent you a strong man. I always knew you were...." Victoria spoke, giving off a smile as she continue to lay on the soft mattress, back too it but tilted her head to the side making it a little bit more comfortable to watch Ryan ever so intently.
The moment she gave off a smile, Ryan smiled and because of this - Victoria felt his hands clench at the silk of her night gown where he scrunched it up before slowly sliding it up her soft skin.
Victoria raised her arms and let the expensive material remove itself only to be tossed onto the floor like a rag doll, leaving the Queen in the nude, naked before Ryan's very own eyes.
This was simply two years, too long.
It was all happening so fast.
The sweet kisses upon the lips to the kisses that the General was willing to give, nipping at her body from the thighs - upwards that just caused sweet, tantalising moans to escape her throat.
"....Oh..." she sighed softly, tilting her head back - biting her lower lip loving the feeling of Ryan committing on making the Queen feel good but not only did he make her feel good, he made her the happiest woman in the world with a simply peice of jewellery being taken out of his pocket and placed onto her finger.
"Fiance for now, yes, but please..do not make me wait for a long time. I don't want us to end up like we did before..." Vic spoke in such a worried tone that Ryan gave off a sigh and shifted his body along with her own to now, different positions were made.
Ryan rested up against the headboard with his back and the naked Queen straddled his waist, still fully clothes with the front of his pants becoming wet from her womanhood.
She couldn't help it.
This man did something to her.
"You will be my wife...this I swear."
"You keep saying this, but this time, It has to happen because I cannot do this anymore. I cannot keep living a life filled with loneliness, I just cannot..." she replied, raising her hand to Ryan's face, letting her fingertips stroke his cheek as she stared deep into his eyes, melting all over again.
"Undress. Undress this minute...and take me..."
Ryan allowed his queen to shift around and lay backwards on the bed, her teaseful nature enough to make him lust for her more. Moving in slowly a hand rubbing up her thigh and pressing against her stomach and to her chest. He smiled leaning down kissing her neck ever so tenderly.
Pulling back he grinned, "I've not done anything since...I understand completely..." He said softly, and leaned down kissing her thigh sweetly before kissing up to her stomach and her collar bone.
He straightened his back up slowly, his hands moving from her hips and gliding up her body pushing her silk clothing over her head to expose her nude body, so golden, a temple fit for love.
He loved this women and hearing her say that they were yet to be married, he reached into his back pocket and leaned down kissing her lips, grabbing her hand slipping a small ring on her finger. Pulling back slowly he allowed his words to flow without pause.
"Well...my fiance for now." He stated softly, the woman laying in front of him, his fiance, again, but he had no problem with his. They had a fight and needed to settle and age a big. His hands still strong and he allowed them to moved her body up the bed to the headboard where he rested his back against the headboard her straddling him.
his lips found her lips, he was trying to cut out all the talking, and let the moment be what it was. Romantic, love, and lust.
Moving his hands to the small of her back, he found her body to be so hard to resist...it seemed to taunt him and call him, her nude body now resting on his, still clothed and partially hidden. He knew this wouldn't last, and he smiled allowing the game begin. The moon light shining into the room, the shadows dancing and playing little games. His eyes locked on her.
"You will be my wife...this I swear." He said softly.
He felt his heart beat just as fast as it did the night he stood toe-to-toe with her, when he was a general, and she was a princess disobeying. He smiled warmly, his heart thumping away at the thought of what they had done on that night and it was amazing, and since then, he had still stayed madly in love with her.
This was something you couldn't strip from a person no matter how hard you tried. His love for her...wasn't lust nor wanting. It was for the sheer joy she brought him and how happy he was with her. He smiled with her at his side.
He loved her with every ounce of his beating heart.
The words that Vitoria had spoken were from the heart, sincere and the real deal.
The Queen could no longer lay in a cold bed only to feel lonesome and completely worthless and not sleep due to hersef staying awake at night staring out the window knowing full well that her ex lover, the greatest love of her life was only a mile away, recieving warmth from the fire perhaps with another woman.
Even with him just being there on his own was enough to keep her awake as Ryan was so close yet ever so far away.
Hands continued to caress the slender body of the young Queen who had bore a Princess.
A little Princess who was growing up so fast while Victoria was getting older but not losing her looks or the love she had for this man right before her very eyes - the same man who touched her body knowing how she liked it however after the words that she had spoken, it didnt take long for Ryan to give off his tantilising smile only to lean in and kiss the lips of the woman he loved.
Victoria returned the gesture.
The kiss was deep - passionate knowing that the two now had to catch up of two years of being alone from each other.
It was hard.
It was such a challenging stage in Victoria's life that she felt she would never get out of and the darkness of suicide did cross her mind on several occasions but it was Eva that always pulled her through.
Ryan's hands had sid down from her lower back to her shapely round ass and a slight chuckle exited the Queen's throat and through her lips before being lifted up in the arms of the strong General.
Towards the bed he took her.
On the bed, he would take her body and her love.
"I will stay with you...and love you, my wife."
"Im not your wife...not yet..." Victoria spoke softly, pulling back from the kiss and just stared deep into the eyes of the man she loved who would soon be her husband and the King who would rule all, with the Queen by his side.
What a wonderful story.
A General, strong and true falling in love with a virgin Queen only to love her so much that fights were inevitable as they were both stubborn.
The General would become King and finally they would live happily ever after.
Pushing Ryan back just a little, Victoria rested onto her back an slowly slid her hands along her body, fingertips caugh the expensie material upon her skin an slowly started to slide the dress up her legs, taunting - teasing Ryan with the sight of her womanhood.
A laugh exited her throat only for Victoria to tilt her head back in laughter knowing what was going to happen between the two, well - hopefully.
"Its been 2 years too long. I may have forgotten the love making ways...."
"Stay with me...."
Smiling, Ryan heard these words, holding the woman he fell in love with oh-so many years ago, fought for, and longed to hear such words, knowing that she meant them in the present. His eyes locking onto hers, he moved his hand along silk dress, feeling her body, the old scars that lingered on her body, they didn't bother him.
He moved a hand to her lower back, smiling into her ever glowing eyes. He found comfort in the words she spoke, and he knew he didn't have to be the guy to carry the tray, but his present wasn't just for her, it was for Victoria, which is why he wouldn't mind it, he would just have to find another way to do it.
He felt after the kiss, the kiss from the silk lips of his once soon-to-be wed. Without hesitating, he placed his finger on her lips, to hush her, his eyes locked on her.
Leaning forward, his lips found hers ever so easily, his hands on her hips in a loving way, he moved her backwards, the fire still roaring, he turned her so she would be aimed for the bed, he placed a hand under her butt lifting her into the air, holding her up and moving her to the bed, his lips not leaving hers.
His foot tapped against the bed softly, and he paused slowly breaking the kiss.
"Stay with me...."
"I will stay with you...and love you, my wife." He spoke clear and soft, his lips meeting hers again and he turned sitting down so she was on his lap, her lips so warm, and leaving a frosty touch to his lips, a feeling of happiness...and love, something so foreign to him.
The feel of perfect lips upon his, so...unique and inhuman. A small pink blush crossing his face as he held her so close.
Feeling her curves against his body, it felt so, energizing, to know what he felt for her, and her for him, were love, and something like that in which they had for each other, would never perish. His eyes slowly shut as he continued to kiss her, his hair soft and still well kept, his face clean shaven and his aroma that of lavender. One hand at the small of her back, the other on her thigh holding it gently.
Quietly, his hand rubbed up her bare thigh moving to her hip holding her now so close, her porcelain like skin so pure and so amazing, it felt like silk under his hands. Everything about her, were queen like, silky smooth skin, hair that flowed like silk, and a body that swayed and curved like water.
His hands wanted to feel her warmth again, everything about her, was what he wanted. He wanted to indulge more, and show how much she meant to him, but would wait of course, until the proper moment.
His eyes were, just as beautiful as the day she first stared deep into them.
It was so long ago.
So long ago to where she was still a little girl, still held onto her virginity but fell in love with a General while she was a Princess, living in a castle only to lay in bed knowing that the relationship could never be.
Biting her lower lip, it was raising her eyebrow before the moment her eyes widened watching ever so carefully at the way Ryan lent down slowly only to plant his lips upon the Queen's own and kissed her hard, passionate with upmost sincerity.
Victoria closed her eyes in return and gave what Ryan wanted and that was for her to comply.
Victoria kissed the General back harder only to feel Ryan pull back minutes later with that look in his eyes.
"I will show up as her father...I will stand by your side if you will it so."
"I want it too be so. Eva wants you there. I ...want you there..."
"I...Don't know if you should read the letter...it has a bit of anger...in it. Towards everything...I call you childish..." Ryan spoke softly, leaning in once more only to let Victoria tilt her head t the side, giving off a smile knowing that all he was going to do was nip at her neck over and over.
He was right with his words.
Victoria was being nothing but a child back in the day as really, she still was a child, having grown up in the last two years knowing she was going to raise a daughter all on her own.
"My whole idea...of being the guy caring a tray...was to shock her, and to surprise her...I don't know...Victoria...you and Eva are the most important women in my life and I don't know what I would do without you...not a day went by I didn't think about you two and...I miss you both."
'I do not want you to be that guy carrying a tray. You are her Father. You are the greatest General who ever lived. I don't want you to go to war, but I want you to teach your men everything you know so they can go alone without you. Nominate someone to replace you, I don't care but you have...to stay." Victoria pleaded. "Stay with me...."
"I love you...and...I want to marry you, but lets wait until Eva's party...to tell her...More good news..Unless you want to go ahead...we can...that is if..you...still..."
"Ive been waiting to hear those words from you for ..two years. I cannot marry you unless you promise me that you will be here, always...and not to leave and not talk to me ever again because I couldnt bare it, I cant bare the thought of it..."
Moving silently, his body met hers, he had his hands at the small of her back as he leaned down kissing her lips ever so tenderly, his eyes slowly staring off into space of hers. His lips pulled away slowly.
He glanced at her, feeling guilt rise up and he set down slowly, allowing his hands to let hers go. "I will show up as her father...I will stand by your side if you will it so." He said smiling softly, he reached out grabbing her hand pulling her onto his lap his hands moving to her waist as he held her still.
She smelled so lovely and he smiled towards her, leaning forward he kissed her neck with love and before long kissing her lips softly again before pulling away again.
"I...Don't know if you should read the letter...it has a bit of anger...in it. Towards everything...I call you childish..." And it was true, she was childish a bit in throwing a tantrum over waiting three more days. He blushed looking away before staring back into her eyes.
"My whole idea...of being the guy caring a tray...was to shock her, and to surprise her...I don't know..." He said softly rubbing the back of his head. His hands still resting on her hips quietly.
"Victoria...you and Eva are the most important women in my life and I don't know what I would do without you...not a day went by I didn't think about you two and...I miss you both." He stared quietly at the fire.
He wiped a tear from his own cheek before glancing back up at her. "I love you...and...I want to marry you, but lets wait until Eva's party...to tell her...More good news..." He said trying to salvage everything.
"Unless you want to go ahead...we can...that is if..you...still..." He said swallowing hard. He looked down showing he was scared of rejection.
"I know...what may have been said, but given circumstances...just coming to see me when you need me, not even...to say hey. I can waltz into the castle any time I would like. I would have to sneak in, you have any power to walk out and visit people...As pertaining to our daughter...I already made arrangements so I can attend as a special guest...I'll be the one actually bringing out a small trey of presents...")
"You can waltz into this castle. You can, all because everyone knows how I feel about you, how I did feel and ...they know we have a daughter together. Now as for this whole guest thing.....you have to attend as Evangeline's father because you are, not some guest holding a silver platter..." Victoria spoke softly only to turn around from the fireplace and stared upon Ryan who took it upon himself to sit down upon the chair.
He sat down just like he always did.
He sat down with a huff before straightening out his pants, leaning back like he owned the place.
Ryan would of if he had decided to become her husband and King a long time ago.
"I can't...stay away from the blossom I love to tend to..."
"So you rather who up, holding presents than stand beside me, watching her smile as she is overwhelmed with happiness?.."
"I hate...war and violence, but if I need to come back to protect the women I love so dear...I will..."
There it was.
Ryan spoke several words but the one she loved the most was women.
Ryan was speaking about his daughter and Victoria, or so she hoped.
The moment Victoria opened her mouth to speak, it was there her eyes watched Ryan slowly stand u out of the chair and shifted in closer to the female who became very intimidated.
For two years she hadn't been near a man, and now she was in the same room she wanted to be in for a long long time with Ryan.
However it wasn't long until the General approached the Queen and stood toe to toe, pushing strands of hair away out of her face.
"I Love you my queen...always have and will never stop. I wrote one last love letter...whilst apart from you...but I don't think I need a letter to express how I feel for you."
"A letter? You wrote me a letter? You don't do those kind of things, Ryan. I want to read it, if I cant....tell it to me..." she spoke softly, tilting her head back, her eyes staring deep into his own.
Fuck he was beautiful.
Her heart was pounding and she was so close on shedding tears of sadness from being so alone to tears of happiness of him being there, in the same room.
Moving closer due to Ryan's hand upon her hip, it was there he held her hand in such a romantic manner that Victoria breathed in deep.
"Be there, as a father....that's all I ask...."
Ryan felt the bitter sting of a slap across his face and he sighed softly, following her into the room and seeing her slip the coat from her shoulders, the fire lining her body so perfectly.
The small sting to his face as he looked down.
"What are you doing here? You made it quite clear of your choices. I thought you never wanted to see me again...."
"I know...what may have been said, but given circumstances...just coming to see me when you need me, not even...to say hey. I can waltz into the castle any time I would like. I would have to sneak in, you have any power to walk out and visit people...As pertaining to our daughter...I already made arrangements so I can attend as a special guest...I'll be the one actually bringing out a small trey of presents..." He said snickering.
He would be dressed up for his daughters birthday and surprise her.
"I can't...stay away from the blossom I love to tend to..." He said softly sitting down across from where she stood, his hands running over his jeans, He shifted back looking up at her, concern playing his eyes.
"I hate...war and violence, but if I need to come back to protect the women I love so dear...I will..." He said softly, dragging it out. He knew it would be rough for him regardless and he shifted his weight looking back at her.
The slap came from shock of not knowing who it was, but her face sold that she was sorry and he gave a sigh of relief.
He stood up walking to stand toe-to-toe to her looking down at her. He brushed hair from her face, his hands soft but rough from working all the time still. He smiled and looked her dead in the eyes, his heart slowly thumping.
"I Love you my queen...always have and will never stop. I wrote one last love letter...whilst apart from you...but I don't think I need a letter to express how I feel for you." He said softly and leaned into her kissing her forehead softly.
His eyes looking dead into hers and he placed a hand on her hip the other grabbing her hand softly to show he meant it. There was no other way to show that he meant it then how he was acting.
How could a life become so miserable in a small amount of time?
Two years ago, Victoria was ever so happy in the arms ofthe man she was going to marry and spend the rest of her life, where both of them would rule as a team and grow old together as that was the plan wasnt it?
The plan was to live happily ever after, a life filled with love, passion and the joys of having children to rule after the King and Queen had passed.
It just all turned out to be a dream - one dream that Vitoria still continued to hold on even though it was her who pulled the plug on the greatest love affair of all time, a love affair that would be spoken about and placed in books for the many years to come.
There story would be told throughout centeriues to come.
The greatest love between a Queen and a strong, ever so handsome General.
Placing hands upon the railing of the balcony, Victoria lent forward and stared out at the Kingdom below seeing the flickers of candles in people's homes trying to get warm and too create light.
The flames that burny danced like little fireflies in the night sky - like stars twinkling and it was a beautiful sight, a beautiful sight to make Victoria entranced enough not to realise the fuss that was happening behind her.
Ryan slid down a rope behind, keeping ever so quiet.
It was during his actions where Victoria's mind started to wander on what it would be like if she took her own life as a broken heart was becoming too much for her.
What would it be like if she jumped, leaving a little Princess behind t fend for herself? Evangeline would have her Father so it wouldnt that hard, she would become Queen and well taken care off.
"M'lady...you'll get cold."
The words caught her ears.
Turning around, the Queen felt a coat cover her body.
Eyes caught a glimpse of a handsome male and her lips caught a kiss that seemed loving and sincere but feeling this, all Victoria could do was pull back, raise a hand and slap the gentleman across the face.
At this point, Vic didnt know this was Ryan up until she stepped back, really wanted to threaten and in that moment, seeing the lighting hit his body Victoria knew it was her ex lover.
Speechless, Victoria bit her lower lip and breathed hard, already regretting the hard slap across the beautiful face.
"What are you doing here? You made it quite clear of your choices. I thought you never wanted to see me again...." she spoke softly, tilting her head back to stare at the male as he towered over the small, delicate Queen with the intoxicating bodt and the long, thick brown hair that felt like silk.
Waiting ofr a reply, it wasnt long until Victoria shifted passed Ryan and made her way back inside the bedroom where it was warm due to the roaring fire.
Removing the coat, placing it down gently onto the couch - there she was again, wearing nothing but a thin layer of rich material against her naked body onlyto stand infront of the warm flames.
"Youre daughter asked if you were coming to her party. I said that you were..."
The foot steps seemed to die down, and he didn't see as many guards rushing around now, thinking that the intruder may just have been another guard the alarm slowly turned off and guards went back to their posts of freezing. He shifted out of the nook and looked around, he saw the castle, and knew he needed to find a place to mount himself so he can climb.
Running to the side of the castle, he felt along for a good crack but, the wall was too steep and would be difficult to climb. He reached into his bag grabbing some rope and a small grappling hook ordeal.
Stepping back he spun it tossing it up as it hooked on the roof of the castle, his eyes sparking in happiness. He made sure the rope would hold with him on it, and he slowly started to scale the wall, his eyes moving around the castle to make sure no one would see him, but in this time of night, it was dark and the snow was falling so he was near invisible. Coming upon a window, he peeked in. Bathroom.
He opened the window and slipped inside moving to the door to peek out and see what was outside the bathroom. Eva. He smiled softly and opened the door silently, walking over to his daughter, he kissed her forehead and reached into his bag, pulling a small teddy bear from it, he placed it in her arms.
He smiled brushing hair from his daughters face who now cuddled the teddy bear smiling. He stepped back into the bathroom and shut it silently moving back outside.
GRabbing the rope, he swallowed hard, this would be difficult, the sudden weight could cause it to break loose and him fall to his death. his arms were already sore from all this climbing.
He stepped out the rope holding and he breathed a bit easier as he began to scale the wall again his eyes moving around. He paused seeing Vic on the balcony...just in a silk night gown. He moved faster, his heart beating fast, the feel of being close to her again enough to move him.
He made it to the roof, and walked quietly, soft crunch sounds erupting as he moved to the edge seeing her. He tied the rope to the chimney of the castle, and he slowly stepped off the side dropping down behind her without a sound.
He knew she must be cold, he took his jacket off moving up to her, pausing a moment before putting it around her shoulders and it covered her entire top half and half her legs.
"M'lady...you'll get cold." He said softly, one hand moving to her hip, the other to her face as he faced her, and he leaned in kissing her softly, his hands pulling her close, everything happening so fast he hoped she would recognize him without error. This could go wrong if she screamed.
"You tell them..."
Victoria wasn't going to tell anyone anything as she had finally said her piece and left the love of her life, the love of her life that didn't want to be in her life anymore alone to make up his own mind.
Okay, so what she had said wasn't exactly the best thing to say as she involved there little girl and it was wrong.
Very wrong and all of that proved the moment Victoria and her guards wandered away from the entrance of the house - towards the cart however on the way there, the Queen couldn't help but hear a crashing noise from inside her once owned cottage.
Ryan was pissed.
Ryan was completely and utterly confused and absolutely livid but what else could she of done? Truthfully, Vic had done everything she possibly could in order to make the army grow and become stronger than before but it all failed, they wanted their leader. They needed Ryan back.
Victoria needed the love of her life back.
In the cart, Victoria bit her lower lip and tilted her head down half expecting Ryan to run out of the door - catch up to her and sweep the Queen off her feet, kiss her hard and never let her go.
He didn't do anything remotely close to anything like that and before long, Victoria shifted off the cart not knowing that Ryan had followed.
Inside of the castle, Victoria didn't say a single - solitary word as her mind was still on Ryan and how handsome he looked after those 2 years as she never saw him, she didn't and that was heartbreaking, but not heartbreaking enough as it was for their daughter.
"Is Daddy coming to my birthday?..." Evangeline spoke softly as she watched her Mother enter the large bedroom chamber fit for Princess.
Victoria stepped in with a concerned face but faked a smile the moment she got to the bed and sat down upon the edge.
Eva looked on, waiting for a reply but Victoria couldn't give it. She couldn't.
"Of course, sweetheart. He wouldn't miss your birthday..."
"He did all the other times..."
"He was away, my darling. He is here now and he really wants to see you..." Victoria spoke, giving off a smile the moment Evangeline got out of bed and hugged her Mother tightly, ever so happy about the news.
Victoria held her daughter back but let go the moment the alarms were set up that caused the Queen's head to turn fast.
"Everything is alright. Its just going off to see if it still works. Let me go see.." Victoria spoke softly, letting go of her daughter and wandered out of the room to see what all the fuss was about.
"What's going on out here?..."
"We thought we saw someone, your Majesty. Everything will be fine, I can assure you.."
"Ryan..." she whispered to herself before nodding in agreement. "If you do see General Fleur. Please, send him too my chambers. I need to speak with him personally and privately..."
"Yes maam..." the Guard spoke, bowing before leaning back up only to watch the Queen wander down the hall to her Chambers to make sure she was safe.
Victoria was safe, she would be even safer in the arms of the man she loved.
Her ex husband.
Her ex lover.
The one who...stole her heart in just mere seconds of her meeting him.
In the room, Victoria breathed out the moment she stood in the middle and started to undress herself, getting herself free from all the tight garters, the corsets and the belt around her waist that held up in inner frame of the dress.
It wasn't long until she was naked, with a single silk gown covering her skin only to walk out onto the balcony and stared out.
Truth be told, Victoria could not go on another night, cold and ever so alone.
It had been two years.
Two years too long.
Ryan glared at the women he loved, he would love her no matter what, his eyes started to burn with hatred and he stood up and on her way out he raised his index finger pointing at her. "You tell them..." The door slammed shut. He turned and kicked out the chair toppling over. He set down in heat and ran a hand through his hair and groaned aloud.
"If I end up going back, I'll be screwed for life...I may die, or worse...but...Eva..." He thought quietly, running a hand down his face and placing them on his lap. He laid back softly, her soft quiet voice still echoing in his head. He stood up moving to his bed reaching underneath he pulled out something he had stashed away after the war. Something he had made for himself. It was a dark outfit. Black hood, everything black so he could blend better. He was wanting to spy sort of on the castle and see how everything was going. He pulled the black pants on and the black shirt, pulling at the sleeves to get it to go down. IT was a bit tight, but it had been a while since he wore it.
Slowly moving around he stretched his body making sure he was still limber enough to do this. He straightened his back watching the torch lights vanish into the distance meaning they were gone. It was still a bit cold outside and he knew this would be dangerous especially if snow or anything still lingered around the castle. Grabbing the bag he tossed it over his shoulder and sprinted out. He loved both his queen and his daughter...the queen a bit more than he should have given these conditions...but, love none-the-less. He followed the cart at a safe distance watching and waiting, he needed to find a way to hide so he could get into the main gate.
The gate opened so the queen and the guards could get in and he noticed how lit it was. Moving fast he slid to the side of the gate hidden. He grasped the wood and remembered each plank had 3 notches in it at varying heights as to prevent people from climbing during war. You could try, but a spear would be lodged in you. Smiling he started to climb quietly knowing the danger that could ensue.
His eyes never left the cart as it continued towards the castle, and he moved quietly watching all the guards shiver beside the fires they had lit.
He felt bad for spying like this, but he had to know the true extent of the war and if anything bad was to happen...well it would be on his grave. He slipped along the wall, passing some guards and being quiet about it up until he hit something. He glanced down, a guard asleep and soon the guard woke screaming.
Ryan sprinted fast the alarm sounding wildly and he knew this was now for his life, either escape or...stay?
Was it worth the risk?
He groaned as he could jump off the wall and hopefully survive the fall into the shrubs...or keep running and hide. He darted past a guard tower slipping into a small nook in the wall stopping fast, his breath becoming soft and shallow as he became hidden. He sighed as he heard guards running but the alarm wouldn't stop sounding until he was found or the guy ringing the bell got too cold and stopped.
He looked back for the cart, not being able to see it now, his limited vision angering him. He placed his forehead against the cold stone groaning.
"Take a seat."
That was exactly what Victoria needed and that was for her to take a seat as the more he stood, the more she just wanted to walk out of that door as she was terrified and somewhat embarrassed for what she had done, two years ago.
In all honesty, she should never of walked out and should of waited just those couple of days more because if she did - she would feel so alone and filled with regret.
Victoria just....could not wait anymore.
Listening to Ryan's words of him offering her a seat, it wasn't long until Victoria shifted to the side and sat down slowly on the white wooden frame of the chair, garnished with rich navy blue velvet.
"I know what our daughter wishes...I still have guards drop by and say their a-dos and what not. I already sent her present..."
"I know what you do. I know you send them, but sending the Guards to do your dirty work isn't the same thing. She wants to see you Ryan, just you. You are her Father, make her still believe that..."
Words escaped her lips.
Words that made Ryan stop speaking in such a cruel tone only for him to look down and open a pocket watch, staring at the picture, seeing that face - the glimmer of hope for just a few minutes knowing the picture wasn't of her but their daughter, the little Princess they both made out of love.
"I know you can't handle it...my men can handle war...without a general they are still the strong men I fought with. Why should I come back? What do I have to gain from it?"
"You know I cannot handle it? You seem to know me so well. Without a General, they know nothing and you know it. They need a leader, and that is you, its always been you. You gain honour and my trust, something that I know has been missing for a long time..."
"I revoked that title when I handed you that box...I am not that title, nor will I be, not a single man nor women who steps in this building considers me a general but a great man who fought hard. I am just that...a man. Nothing more."
It was true.
Ryan did hand over his title to the Queen the moment before she walked out of his life for those two longest years of her life.
"You may of handed it over to me, Ryan, but without the medal or not - you still are and forever will be the warrior, General Fleur.." the Queen spoke as she continued to sit upon the chair but started to shift from her position the moment the front door of the cottage opened and the Guards entered with permission.
"I prefer not to come back. The men know what to do, and some are even trained to do what I did...granted they may be a bit young and reckless...they know none-the-less..."
This made Victoria's blood boil.
Without Ryan, all hell would break loose and she knew it and so did he which hurt her more.
A lesson to be taught, perhaps?
Standing up from the chair, it wasn't long until the female wandered to the front door infront of her guards and infront of the man she loved and still wanted to marry.
Staring into his eyes, hard and sincere.
"Without you, my people - myself and your daughter will end up being dust in the wind. You are the General you were all those years ago and my people need you. I need you, still. Please. If not for me, but your daughter." she spoke softly, her lips begged to be kissed hard and rough but knowing Ryan, the Guards that stood behind her would put him off from doing such a task, that and his stubbornness.
"You know where I am, if you do happen to change your mind..."
With the Guards turning on their heels, it wasn't long until Victoria and her men exited the cottage and begun there long walk back to the Castle, the cold castle she would sleep in alone while the love of her life stayed in a warm cottage possibly just as alone as she, but it didn't matter.
Ryan seemed to be taking it rather well while deep down, Victoria was dying on the inside and truth was, without Evangeline in her life - Victoria had no problem with standing on the balcony's railing only to jump to her death.
Ryan really didn't know how to respond. He didn't want to fight for a women who was so fast...to quit on him for wanting to wait. He had patience and she...clearly had none.
Sighing softly he set down rubbing his brow, his eyes narrowing upon the floodboards of the cottage. THe one he owned and had paid for. He glanced up to her. "Take a seat." He said and looked at the other chair on the side of them room, the one he knew she would once sit in when she needed him. He ran a hand through his hair, looking at her. "I know what our daughter wishes...I still have guards drop by and say their a-dos and what not. I already sent her present..." He stated and his tone was cold.
His tone was that tone when someone was dying on the inside from everything falling apart. The tone that has seen death, and recovered from it.
He moved his hand to his pocket, pulling out a silver pocket watch flipping it open he saw the little hand move and a small picture of his daughter. He smiled before looking back to her.
"I know you can't handle it...my men can handle war...without a general they are still the strong men I fought with." He said, his tone clearly annoyed.
Moving his body now he stood up chucking a piece of fire on the still, spotless fireplace, the entire inside was clean, almost perfect cleanliness. He set back down as the fire roared.
"Why should I come back? What do I have to gain from it?" He said softly, he words weighing heavy on him.
"You are the General wether you like it or not. You will always have that title. This is important.."
"I revoked that title when I handed you that box...I am not that title, nor will I be, not a single man nor women who steps in this building considers me a general but a great man who fought hard. I am just that...a man. Nothing more." He said cryptically. He wasn't interested, he would be there for his daughters birthday, granted she wouldn't see him, but he would be there. He knew everything about that castle and no one else knew.
He ran a hand over his pants and heard a cough from outside. "If you have nothing to really worry about..." He said moving to the door, he opened it three men standing quickly. "Come in." He said stepping to the side all three men stepping inside the building to stand guard. Each one standing at the door as Ryan set back down.
"I prefer not to come back. The men know what to do, and some are even trained to do what I did...granted they may be a bit young and reckless...they know none-the-less..." He said softly. He looked at the men who looked away quickly. He knew they were scared.
