Emmett never met Rosalie, in fact she was never a vampire. The night her fiance supposedly attacked her never happened. She left later than expected and never ran into him. The two were married and lived happily. But Carlisle did change Emmett after saving him from the bear attack. He became the odd man out in the family. Carlisle had Emse, Alice had Jasper, and Edward had Bella. Without a mate, Emmett was a free man. He was a smooth talker and a total player. No vampire or human girl could resist his charm. He didn't love any of them and to be honest, he didn't even like any of them very much. He was a guy that liked a challenge and none of them gave that to him.
Evangeline, or Eva as she prefers, has been moving from city to city, trying to escape her curse. But she can't settle down anywhere for to long because something always happens. She loses control of her hunger, feeds upon someone, and kills them. She's not a vampire but she defiantly isn't human either. Eva is a succubus, a sexual being. A being that must feed on others to live, but they always die with a smile on their face. That doesn't make it any better for her knowing that. She's had to deal with this problem since she was thirteen. She had to leave her family behind in order to protect them. But she doesn't know how much longer she can live the life that she is living. She just wants a normal life.
The Cullens have been in Forks for a year when Eva moves in. When their paths cross there is sure to be sparks flying. But how long till they learn what the other is? Has Emmett found his one, true mate? Has Eva finally found someone she can wake up to and not find dead beside her? And how will the Volturi react, learning there is a new species in the world?
Two days before
It's been hard for the past four years. Since she was thirteen she hadn't been able to stay in one place for to long. Seattle was suppose to be different, she had been there for three weeks, that was a whole week longer than anywhere else. But a stupid college party ruined it all. She was getting a hold of her hunger but someone gave her some alcohol and it was all down hill from there.
She spent the night flirting with a cute college boy, he led her upstairs and she lost control. She fed on him, drained him...killed him. How many more bodies would pile up till she learned to officially control her hunger? She couldn't take this life anymore. She couldn't keep going on the run everytime she lost control. She let out a sigh as she sat on a bench at the bus station. Where would she go now? She was running out of places. "The bus to Forks will be leaving in five minutes."
Forks? It had a small town ring to it. She's been spending years going from one big city to another. Maybe a small town was exactly what she needed. She grabbed her bag and rushed to the ticket booth, shoving her money into the slot. "One way ticket to Forks, please." And that was that, she bought a ticket to Forks without knowing what lay ahead of her.
Eva did not expect Forks to look the way it did. She thought it would be all sunny and have a cute little downtown. Basically, she had the town Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls in her head, she was way off. It was dark, dreary, and always raining. Plus, it was freezing cold. It felt like they lived near Alaska, it sucked. But this would be her permanent home so she had to make the most of it.
She climbed out of her bed and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. As soon as she got into town, she went to a hotel and used the rest of the money she had to pay for two weeks. She'd have to get a job in order to keep paying for the room but today she only had one thing in mind, highschool. She hadn't been to school since she ran away and has been dying to go back.
Since she was little she's always wanted to go to high school. Make friends, go to prom, have her first love. Well, she really couldn't do the last one with her "problem" but she still wanted to do all of the other things. Get a beautiful prom dress and go on a group date with her friends. She couldn't wait.
It took her fifteen minutes to shower since she had to go through a bunch of the mini shampoos and conditions for her hair. She'd really need to get regular size bottles as soon as she had the money. She now stood by her bed, in nothing but a towel, rummaging through her bag for something to wear. She wanted to wear something nice but not to dressy. Something to make a real impression for her first day. But what?
She finally found the outfit she wanted to wear. A pink hoodie with red hearts on it, a purple undershirt, skinny jeans with pink wedges that tied up her legs. Pink heart earrings with her gold heart locket, a necklace that she's had since she was little.(pic) Inside was a picture of her parents and her little brother. It was the only thing she had left of them now.
Memories of her family started to come to mind and was making her really depressed. She couldn't think of them right now. She gave that life up the day she ran away, she needed to focus on the life she was living now. She took a deep breath, calmed herself down before leaving the hotel room.
Getting to school was a pain, she had no car and wasn't on the roster for any buses. So she had to walk till this nice couple picked her up. The man was extremely cranky and didn't really talk much. But his wife was a chatterbox, she literally was talking Eva's ears off. But she didn't mind, this was the first, nice conversation she's had with someone since she got here. The owner of the hotel was a real jerk and shooed her off as soon as she payed. There was literally no one in any of the other rooms so she had been bored.
When they pulled in front of the school, she thanked them and got out. Instantly, all eyes were on her. She would be lying if she said she didn't like the attention but sometimes it was just to much for her. But what did she expect? She pulled up in a car that backfired as soon as it stopped and was wearing an outfit that drew to much attention. Everyone was wearing dark, winter clothes and she came in with a summer outfit. She couldn't help it, it was all she grabbed when she left Seattle.
She walked inside and down the hall, just like outside, all eyes turned her as she walked down the hall like it was her run way. She couldn't help but smile, it was entertaining, they all looked at her like she was a shiny new toy. She headed into the office and ended up spending an hour in there trying to settle everything. The principle was making things more and more difficult for her before finally giving her a schedule and sending her on her way. It would have been worse if she hadn't come yesterday, after school ended, to take her test in order to get in to the school.
"I heard that she was a model in France and saw someone get killed so the witness protection system sent her here."
"I heard that she used to go to school in Seattle. She got caught having sex with a teacher so her parents shipped her off here."
"I heard that she was dating this gangster that got into a drug war. He sent her here to keep her safe."
Rumors were spreading like wild fire, each one being some crazy story on why she was in Forks. This was part of the highschool experience. It's been so long since she's been in school that she forgot how fast rumors spread. She could hear someone whispering behind her about one of the many rumors. She smiled as she stared out the window of her second period class, Biology.
She was glad that she kept up studying when she ran away four years ago. So the classes weren't difficult to keep up with. And if she got to far behind than she could always...No! She couldn't think like that. Using her powers always lead to losing control and she wanted to change that. She would have to be a good girl, do her studies, maybe even join a team or something. She's always wanted to be a cheerleader, so that would be fun.
She was flexible and stronger than normal humans so she could lift the girls up with no problem. It was settled, she'd find the cheerleading captain and ask to join the team today. A smile came to her face just as the bell rang for classes to be over. She gathered all her things and headed out, next class was gym. She didn't bring a gym uniform since she didn't know what her classes were. Guess she'd have to sit this one out.
Eva laided out on the bleachers, her eyes closed as she listened to the people chatter and the squeking of sneakers. A group of boys near her were whistling at her and trying to get her attention, all she did was smirk but didn't bother looking. She didn't bother opening her eyes till she heard someone sit by her. She opened her eyes to see a mocha-colored skinned girl with beautiful brown eyes and brown, frizzy hair. The girl was really pretty and curvy.
"Hola Chica." The girl said, smiling at Eva as she sat up. "Hola." The girl stuck her hand out to Eva to shake, which she did, careful to not squeeze her hand and hurt her. "I'm Sasha, it's nice to meet you."
"Hi, I'm Ev---" She stopped, getting cut off by Sasha.
"I know who you. Evangeline "Eva" Silk. Everyone has been talking about you. You're as famous here as the Cullens."
Eva titled her head to the side, confused, "The Cullens? Who are they?"
"What? You haven't ran into any of them yet?" Eva shook her head. "Wow, there's like five of them here. I'm surprised you haven't ran into atleast one of them." Sasha shrugged her slim shoulders before starting to explain who the Cullens were. "They are these five un-humanly beautiful people, you would totally fit in with them." Eva smiled to her, "Thanks."
"No prob. Anyways, they were all adopted by this Dr. Carlisle Cullen and even though they were adopted by him, they all paired up. This black, pixied hair girl is Alice and she's with Jasper, who always looks like he's in pain. Than there is Edward, I heard him playing the piano once and was just blown away. He's with Bella, the two are always in their own little bubble, like she's showing him something no one else can see. It's kind of weird. The last one is Emmett, that boy is fine. He is about 6'5, all muscles, and a total smooth talker. If I wasn't in a relationship, I'd eat that boy up!"
Eva couldn't help but laugh, Sasha was a really animated person. She bobbed her head and moved her hands around alot when she talked and just had this sort of attitude to her voice.
"So how can I tell for sure that it's the Cullens?" She asked, alittle interested in who the other famous people of the school were. "Well, they're all alot more pale than the other kids here and they have gold eyes...or is it black? Hmm, everytime I see them, their eyes seem to be two different colors. Oh well, either way, they look like super models or Gods. That's what everyone calls them."
Sasha went on about the Cullens for a while as they watched the boys start playing basketball and the girls huddled up to start a volleyball game. "Sasha! Get down here!" The coach yelled out to the girl, who quickly stood up. "Yes sir! Coming!" She turned and looked to Eva, smiling. "Why don't you sit with me and the gang at lunch? A few of us are alittle odd but you'll really like us, trust me."
Her first invatation to sit with someone at lunch. She couldn't help but be a little to happy about it but she played it off. She smiled at Sasha as she nodded her head, "Sure! I'd love to." Sasha smiled again before waving to her and heading off to huddle up with the other girls. This place was starting to look better and better. Maybe she could actually live a normal life here.
Eva's last class before lunch had been pretty boring. Trig, she hated math. She missed the good days when it was just numbers and no letters or any other weird thing was involved. Now here he was, trying to figure out some complicated problem. She ran a hand through her long, black hair as she stared at the problem as if her glare would make it solve itself. She was about to just toss the book in frustration when the bell rang. Finally!
She gathered her things and rushed out of the room, she did not want to cme back to this class tomorrow or do the homework the teacher gave her. But she had to. She let out a long sigh as she went to her locker. She loved the ring of it, her locker. It was a symbol that she was officially a student in high school. Someone might think she was weird if they ever heard the thoughts in her head.
She shoved her things into her locker and slammed the door shut. Her first day here and already she had plans to sit with people. This was awesome...wow, she sounded like a little nerd. But really, what did she care? Not like anyone could hear the thoughts in her head.
The lunch room was a mad house. It was loud and there were people running/walking everywhere. She almost got ran over by a kid skateboarding than by the teacher that was chasing him. She looked from table to table for Sasha but was having a difficult time till she saw the bobbing of some frizzy hair. From the few minutes she spoke to the girl was enough to tell her that the bobbing frizz was her.
She walked over to the table to see that Sasha was sitting with a purple haired Goth. She gave the Goth a smile as she sat down next to Sasha. "Hey Sasha." The girl gave her a smile. "Hey chica! You made it." She gave Eva a sideways hug before turning to look at the Goth. "Eva, this is Raven. Raven, Eva." She pointed to each one as she said their names, introducing them to the other.
Eva offered Raven another smile and was about to say that it was nice meeting her when the Goth said something that took her off guard. "You have such a red aura." Confused, Eva looked at Sasha, who was eating some fries. She smiled before explaining to Eva what Raven just said. "Raven can see auras. Hard to believe but it's true."
"Red means you have alot of passion but you're angry about something as well. But you are very strong, smart, and have alot of fire in you." Eva felt uncomfortable as Raven stared at her, it was as if those blue eyes could see in her soul. She had to look away quickly before she got completely lost in them. Her eyes had than locked onto a table where a rather large male was sitting.
He was extremely pale and handsome. "Guess you spotted Mr. Smooth Talker." So he was one of the Cullens that she's been hearing about. "Emmett, right?" Eva looked back at Sasha, who nodded, than back to Emmett. She could see why all the girls had such a crush on him. He as very good looking. Don't even think about it, Eva. Can't lose your control here. Just avoid boys all together, she thought before looking away.
