Except for Ruth.
She's a ditz, absolutly clumsy and unable to hold a proper spell for more than a few seconds.
He thinks she's an absolute failure, taking her on as a private student, determined to teach her. But the king of the lands makes a summon and in hopes that this could be a life changing experience, takes Ruth along.
But he could never be so right about hte 'life changing experience'. Along teh way they have to take a baot, the baot crashing and the passengers getting lost at sea. But Ruth and her teacher finds themselves on a unexplored part of the land thats teh furthest thing from being safe.
With dangers around and only one able to defend will reliance blossom into love?

Ruth let out a small sigh as her eyes slid open. She was soaked from head to toe and she ached ever so slightly. She got to her hands and knees and glanced around, confused at the surroundings. "Nnnuuuugh...? Where.... am I?" Her thoughts immediatly went to her mentore and she glanced around in a panic. "Ah! S-Sir!?"
